Beau and I walked in the night club with our fingers entwined perfectly together. As soon as we walked through the door his grip got tighter, not wanting me to let go. I looked up at him; his face was full of hate, anger and panic. What’s got him like this?
“Beau,” I tried yelling over the blasting music. His head jerked in my direction, looking down at me, giving me a fake smile. His eyes were full of worry. I started frowning; I hated seeing him like this even if this was the first time. I opened my mouth to say something but was interrupted by Rosanna tugging my arm.
“Hey!” She said cheerfully, giving me a hug.
“Hiya,” I said returning the hug, causing me to pull my hand away from Beau’s hand.
“Hey Bew!” She said grinning, giving Beau a hug as well.
“Hey you!” He greeted her back.
“Come on, we’re sitting on that table!” Rosanna pointed to the table in the corner where everyone was sitting. “I’m just going to the bar, do you guys want anything?” She asked kindly.
“Uh, I’ll have Malibu and coke please.” I said.
“Just a beer please, Ro.” He smiled at her.
“Sure, see you in a second.” She turned around making her way over to the bar trying to dodge walking into people. I started walking towards the table when an arm snaked round my waist. I looked up to find Beau looking ahead. I started smiling to myself but was soon brought back to reality. This is so wrong, best friends don’t do this. I have a boyfriend for god’s sake.
“Hey guys,” I smiled at them all taking a seat next to Georgia. Beau sat opposite me sitting next to Luke. Rosanna soon arrived with the drinks taking a seat next to Beau.
Georgia was telling me something when I noticed Beau and Luke mumbling things to each other, wanting no one to hear. It didn’t seem like a pleasant conversation, I could tell Beau was getting worked up.
“Hello? Amelia?” She started waving her hands in my face.
“Oh, right, sorry, what were you saying?” She just rolled her eyes letting out a small laugh.
“Don’t worry, want to go and dance?” She asked, should I? I looked at Beau asking for permission remembering what he told me earlier this night. As long as you stick by me tonight he won’t touch you. Beau looked at me, it took him a while but he eventually said yes, still not convinced if he had decided the right thing.
“Um, no, why don’t you go with the others, I’ll catch you in a bit.” I smiled at her, hoping she would understand. She just nodded and walked off.
“Luke, are you coming?” Grace asked Luke. He nodded and walked off with her. Daniel was at the bar with Rosanna and James hadn’t arrived yet. What was taking him so long? I got out of the table and took a seat next to Beau.
“Why didn’t you go?” Beau asked, referring to me not wanting to go up with the others.
“You tell me,” I murmured. I still knew nothing about this Marcus and I wasn’t getting the answers anytime soon. I’d rather be safe than sorry.
“Do you want to go up and dance?” Beau asked me. I nodded and bit my lip.
“Get up,” He instructed me; I did what he told me to do. He slid himself along the seat getting up himself.
“What are we doing?” I furrowed my eyebrows.
“Dancing,” He winked, taking my hand leading me where all the over bodies were.
“I’m just going to go and get a drink.” I yelled in Beau’s ear so he would hear me over the music. His hand was placed on my waist.
“I’ll come too,” I nodded and made my way to the bar, with Beau following behind.
“2 shots of Vodka and a Malibu and coke, please.” I tried to say as loudly as I could trying to speak over the music filling the booming night club. The bartender nodded his head, grabbing a Vodka shot glass and bottle. He looked up at Beau whilst doing this wanting to know his order.
“Beer please, mate.” Beau replied. Beau soon snaked his arm around my waist once again. It felt so good to have him next to me but I knew I couldn’t think anything of it. It doesn’t mean anything, I can’t think like this. “2 shots of Vodka?” Beau cocked his eyebrow realising I ordered more then one.
“Mhmm,” Was all I said, a small smile appeared on his face.
I watched him pour the liquid in the glasses, his eyes steady on what he was doing, and making sure he wouldn’t spill it. He placed them on the counter, giving them a slight push making it glide towards us.
“Ready?” I asked Beau.
“1, 2, 3” I gulped it down in one go, scrunching up my nose, I forgot how awful it tasted. Beau’s reaction was similar to mine. I placed it down on the counter. The bartender soon arrived with Beau’s beer and my Malibu and coke.
“You always order the same drink!” Beau chuckled picking up his Beer as I did the same with mine.
“And so do you!” I poked him, giggling. I grabbed Beau’s hand and made my way over to the table once again. I tried my best to avoid bumping into people. As we got closer to the table I noticed James and a girl I have never seen before sitting there talking to Jai and Georgia.
“Aye, James!” Beau cheered walking towards James giving him a hug.
“Heya,” I greeted him as soon as he saw me, giving him a hug.
“Mi, you look beautiful.” James complimented me. I saw Beau sending him daggers from the corner of my eye.
“Relax, I have my own girl.” James said proudly, grinning, looking down at the girl next to him. She had shoulder length blonde hair with brown under layers and big brown eyes.
“Hey, I’m Tilly.” She extended her hand, waiting for me to shake it. I declined it, giving her a hug instead.
“I’m Amelia,” I smiled at her warmly.
“Jai!” I suddenly heard someone slur from behind me. I turned around to find a boy with blonde hair stumbling their way towards us. He was a mess. I felt someone’s hand grip onto mine a bit too hard. I looked up to find Beau staring at the boy, fire in his eyes almost as if he wanted to kill him.
