Stubborn, that's what I was. Completely stubborn, I mean, I always have been. I haven't apologised to Beau yet and it's been over an hour. I had spent 20 minutes debating whether to go in there and see how he was, but no, I was still in the same spot as I was an hour ago.
"I'm going to face him and say sorry." I repeated several times getting off of the sofa. "Apologise, Amelia." I muttered to myself. Just as I got 3 feet away from the bedroom door the door knob twisted, indicating Beau was coming out. I stood still not knowing what to do. I was acting like such a child, what's wrong with me?
Beau appeared In front of me, looking a little rough. He had red puffy eyes almost as if he had been crying.
"Beau, I'm so sorry, I-" He engulfed me in a hug before I had time to finish what I had to say. My hugged him back, without arguing. Beau gives the best hugs.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have reacted the way I did." He apologised, pulling away. "I just don't want to lose you." He murmured the last bit, but I heard every word.
"You're not going to lose me, I promise." I reassured him.
"You're not going to lose me, I promise." But I already have. I've lost her already, in a way. I can't bare the fact she can't remember me completely, the memories, the times we spent together and how we used to be. I want her back so much. I want to kiss her whenever I want, hug her whenever I want, mess around with her whenever I want, but I can't not now, not for a while, maybe never. Beau, don't think like that. I can't be thinking so negative, not when this is all happening.
"So you're up for the party tomorrow?" I asked, making sure.
"Maybe we could stay indoors?" She suggested but I knew that's not what she wanted. Amelia was like me, she's was always up for having fun even if it meant her doing crazy things.
"Na, I think we should go." I grinned. She started smiling back too.
"Really?" She asked, her eyes beaming with happiness.
"Yeah, why not."
"Eeeep!" She squealed with excitement, pouncing on me, wrapping her legs around my waist, hugging me. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She repeated, full with joy. I started chuckling. I've haven't seem Amelia this happy in a while.
"You're welcome," She dropped herself off of me, looking at me smiling.
"Come on, let's go to bed, I'm knackered." I told her, walking back in the bedroom. She got in next to me covering herself with the covers. I was so tempted to wrap my arms around her, pull her close but I knew I couldn't. I couldn't give in, not just yet.
"Beau! I can't go tonight without a dress!" I called out, panicking like never before. I had no clothes in my wardrobe, I mean 0.
"Haven't you got any stuffed in some draws or something?" Beau walked out from the bathroom, holding his top in his hand.
"I've searched everywhere! Why have I got no clothes?!" I asked, frustrated as hell. Beau started chuckling. "This isn't funny you little rat!" I said seriously but soon started giggling myself.
"A rat?! Who are you calling a rat?" He dropped his top on the floor and lunged at me. We both fell on the floor with a thud laughing hysterically.
"You," I said trying to contain my laughter.
"Say I'm the sexiest boy ever and I will forgive you." He said grinning, he was on top of me making sure I wasn't able to escape from his grip.
"You? Sexy? No,"
"No," I refused to say the sentence.
"If you don't say it then I'm not taking you clothes shopping," He said smiling like a fool knowing I wouldn't refuse to an offer like that.
"You're the sexiest boy ever," I mumbled.
"What was that?" Beau pretended he couldn't hear me.
"You're the sexiest boy ever." I said a little louder this time.
"Sorry, say that again?"
"I SAID YOU'RE THE FUCKING SEXIEST BOY IN THE WORLD!" I shouted as loud as I could hoping he would take the message and get off of me.
"Ok, ok, you only had to tell me once, god." He said getting off of me. Oh he's kidding, right?"
"Jerk," I hissed, joking. He started smirking.
"You love me," He winked and walked back in the bathroom with his top.
"No, seriously, you do love me." Beau peeked his head round the bathroom door. It seemed as if he was being serious but I knew he wasn't. Maybe he meant it in a friendly way seeing as you are both taken.
"Come on, get dressed, we're going shopping." Beau walked back in, throwing some clothes at me.
After half hour of getting ready I was done and ready. I'm not one of those girls who take hours and hours trying things on and making them selves look plastic. I adjusted myself in the mirror quickly before grabbing my phone and walking out to see Beau.
"Done," I smiled.
"Good, let's go." He grabbed his wallet, keys and phone and started heading out the door.
"Don't I need my credit card or something?"
"No, my treat."
"No, I can't let you pay by the time I'm done everything will come up to a thousand dollars."
"I don't care, I will spend how as I want on you, now come on." He grabbed my arm and dragged me out the door.
"But Beau,-" I tried arguing with him.
"No 'buts' I'm treating you." He smiled and entwined his fingers with mine. I told myself to pull away, I had a boyfriend after all but maybe this is casual for me and Beau? Friends can hold hands after all and it's not like I didn't enjoying having my hand and his clasped together.
