Avery's POV

"No go right ahead" luke said smiling at me as I took a seat. "But why is it good that I don't have a girlfriend?" He said with a smirk. I could tell he was trying to act confident which was sort if cute to be honest. Oh god. Did I really just tell the hottest guy I've ever seen that it was good he didn't have a girl friend? I'm such a dork. I knew I should have come over here. "Oh..erm..I don't know..well I mean you are cute and what not so yeah ahah.." I said nervously. He blushed and smiled at the ground. "Is that why you wanted to sit here?" He looked up and asked looking as if he really didn't know. "Umm yeah I guess. I just want to get to know you." I said sweetly trying to remain calm. We continued small talk about his band "5 seconds of summer" and his friends and how we both love all the same things (reading, music, pizza, ect.). I loved the way he looked when he would talk about something he loved, like his band. His eyes would sparkle and he would try to fight off the grin creeping on to his face. "So what's your family like?" I asked. "Oh.." Luke started as he looked away for a moment. "Well you see my parents are on business trips constantly and don't have time for me. They're usually home about 3 days a month." He said looking down. I felt bad. That was sad but it was hard for me to sympathize. My dad died of cancer when I was 6 and mom is now remarried to a drunk piece of shit and neither one of them care about me, but I wasn't about to tell luke all that. Not yet at least. We had been at the coffee shop for over 3 hours and it was going on 8 o'clock. We decided we should head out. He drove me to my house. On the way there we listened to green day and continued small talk. I decided when we got to my house I was going to see if he wanted to hang out tomorrow and then I was going to kiss him right on his cheek. I knew that was a bold move but I was ready to start doing things with more confidence and less thought. "I had a great time. We should hang out tomorrow!" I said hopefully. "Definitely." Luke smiled and kissed me on the cheek before I could kiss him. He took my phone and texted himself so I would have his number and he would have mine. So what are we? Friends? More than friends? Not even friends? I don't know but the thought of luke hemmings alone was enough to get my heart racing.
