14. chapter 14

Avery's POV

"Yes?" I asked sort of confused. Oh god what was he going to ask me. The winter air was turning Luke's cheeks red. Damn he's cute. His blue eyes were looking me up and down. "Will you be my girl friend?" He said looking into my eyes. "Hell yeah" I said laughing before he pulled my waist towards him with his large hands, and kissing me. Our lips moved together so smooth like it was muscle memory. I felt his warm lips move into a smile against mine while his lip ring grazed my lip. And god did that feel good. Luke Hemmings was in my veins.

Luke's POV

When we went inside hand in hand. We were talking about random things neither of us able to stop smiling. How do you tell your girl friend of 10 minutes that you love her? That's a problem for another day. Avery's phone rang. When she looked at her phone her face turned white. "I umm have to take this.." She stuttered while walking outside. I say on the counter waiting for her to return.

GEEZE it's been like 20 minutes who is she talking to?

Finally 30 minutes passed and she walked in looking defeated. I immediately jumped off the counter "is everything alright?" I asked her. Avery just collapsed to the ground and started crying. "Shit. Babe. What's wrong?" I asked while squatting down to hold her. Who ever hurt her like this is going to regret it. Holding her sobbing small body made me realize how much I need her to be okay. The hurt from watching her felt like my chest was being compressed. I just sat and let her cry in my arms.

45 minutes later of her crying in my arms turned into her shaking and tearing up in my arms so I decided to pick her up and lay her in my bed. I climbed in behind her and wrapped myself around her small body, one hand slung over her. She fit inside me like a puzzle piece. "Avery, tell me why you're so broken."
