I stared at the clock ticking on my wall. I was bored out of my mind. Dumbledore had sent me back to the Dursleys for the summer and had banned all form of communication since it would be easy for the Death Eaters to track.
There were still seven seconds left until my birthday, until I was sixteen.
What gifts would I get? Hermione would probably give me a book of some sort.
"Happy birthday Harry." I muttered to myself. And then a flash of white hot pain went down my spine.
I clenched my jaw, wondering what it was. Was Voldemort torturing someone again.
The pain grew, and I stuffed my fist in my mouth, biting down to keep from screaming. Uncle Vernon would get really mad if I made a sound.
After what felt like an eternity of agony, I passed out from the pain and exhaustion.
I was in a clearing, illuminated by the sun.Someone was singing, but I couldn't quite make out the words. I followed the sound. There, standing in front of me, was a boy about my age. He had white wings, the wings of an angel. He was wearing a outfit completely made of white silky material with some ice blue embroidery in the hem of the robes. His back was turned to me, so I couldn't see his face, but I could see that he had pale blond hair that was almost white.
"So your my mate. A dark Veela. Who would have thought?" The boy said.
i jumped, startled. Was he talking to me?
"I've been waiting for you you know. My birthday is in February. I came here every night, hoping that you would come into your inheritance. For a long period of time, I even thought I had no mate, that something was wrong with me. I'm so glad that your here now."
I was puzzled. This boy said that I was a dark Veela, but how could I be? None of my parents had been magical creatures.
"Who are you?" I asked him. "Can you turn around so that I can see you?"
The boy heaved a sigh.
"I could, but you wouldn't be able to see my face. It would be blurred. This dream land is only something to help you find your mate, you have to find this person yourself." The boy turned around, and I saw that what he had said was true. I could see all of him but his face, who was blurred like in those muggle videos where they blur your face to protect your identity or something.
"I must go, my father is calling for me. See you tomorrow night."
The mysterious blond walked over to me, gave me a slight peck on the cheek, and then vanished, leaving me to stare at the spot he had been standing in.
"Boy! Wake up!"
I slowly opened my eyes. I felt sore all over, as if I'd just been run over by a Hypogriff (not that I would know how that felt). For a moment, I wondered of it had all been a dream. And then I felt something fluttering against my back.
I looked behind me only to see...two huge black wings, sticking out from between my shoulder blades. How was I going to hide them!
I quickly cast a disillusionment charm on them, thanking Merlin I had asked Moody Mad-Eye how to do that before my fifth year. I was going to need to search up some very powerful glamour charms.
A/N: I hope this chapter wasn't too bad. Comment and tell me if it was okay!! ;)
