Precious Memories

This isn’t just any old story by any old author on any old bit of paper. This is a story of true friendship, between two true friends. Elizabeth and Alexis have been friends for as long as they could remember. They’ve been through thick and thin, fights and break-ups, and made endless precious memories. From meeting at a wedding at age 5, to having children of their own, this is their story.

9. Laughing, Laughing And More Laughing

"Right class, seeing as you have your exam next week, I am going to give you this lesson to finish off writing your paragraphs" Miss Lockwood stated. I let out a huge sigh and Elizabeth kicked me under the table. French was probably one of my least favourite subjects, and I detested it even more when I was constantly reminded that I hadn't even started to write my assessment.

"Who even needs French, it's such a stupid lesson. It's not like I'm going to be French in the future is it?" I muttered to Elizabeth, before flipping my book open and scribbling down random French sounding words. I could have written Russian for all I know.

"No one needs it, Alexis, but you need to do it. So come on, Theo wouldn't like it if you didn't write anything, would he?" Elizabeth teased. I laughed, the corners of my mouth curling up into a smile. Theo. Why was he so gorgeous?

"Fine" I huffed, crossing my arms and pretending to be angry, which didn't last more than two seconds. I was hopeless at keeping a straight face. Elizabeth and I burst out laughing, before being bombarded with a chorus of shushes from the people around us. We just laughed again and carried on with our work.

"Ok everyone, that's the end of the lesson. If you could put your folders back and leave sensibly" Miss Lockwood said, before the entire class noisily shoved their chairs under the desk and scrambled out of the room. Elizabeth was taking ages to put all her stuff in her bag, just to annoy me.

"Oh my god woman, just shove it in your bag" I said, before dragging her out of the classroom. Elizabeth was laughing behind me, and we both ran out of the classroom in fits of giggles. Honestly, when we were together, all we did was laugh and mess around. It was great.
