Chrystal stumbled into her apartment, still reeling from this kiss with Ashton. Absentmindedly, she brought her fingers up to her lips and smiled. God, she was acting like a child. She pulled out her phone and looked at it for the first time since last night. Fuck. 29 missed calls from Kelly and endless messages. She swallowed nervously before calling back her friend. She picked up on the second ring.
"Chrystal! What the fuck! Where have you been! Do you have any idea how worried I was!?" Kelly was beyond furious.
"I'm so sorry Kelly, I got drunk and Ashton took me back to his an-"
"What? When? Who the fuck's Ashley!?"
"His name's Ashton. That guy I was telling you about the other week, remember?"
"The weird one. You could have at least called Chrystal"
"I know, I know. I'm so sorry, I won't do it ever again, I promise."
"I can't believe you didn't even text!"
"Kelly please, I'll explain everything. Pick me up in ten and I'll fill you in on ALL the gossip." The line was silent for a few moments, Chrystal new Kelly couldn't resist the call of fresh gossip.
"Ugh... Fine! Be at yours in 20 minutes. Be ready!" And then the line was dead.
Smiling, Chrystal quickly got changed and waited for her friend. No more than 20 minutes later Kelly pulled up. She had to admit, she was nervous. "Hi," she said nervously as she got into Kelly's flashy blue mini. Kelly glared at her icily. "I haven't forgiven you," she said, thrusting her chin out stubbornly and glaring out the window. "Oh come on Kels," Chrystal said, playfully nudging her with her elbow. Kelly turned round to fully face her with a look Chrystal doesn't see too often. "Listen, you can't just go off disappearing like that Chris! I was so worried, I thought something terrible happened..." She trailed off, looking at her desperately. "You have no idea how important you are to me. If anything happened to you..." She stopped, her voice catching. Tears started to fill up in Kelly's brown eyes. "I just don't want to lose you," she finished. "You won't," Chrystal said, placing her hand on top of Kelly's brown one. "I love you, and I promise to never put you through that again." Kelly smiled weakly at her and wiped the tears from her eyes, sniffing a little. "Well then," she said, "how about a McDonald's."
One Big Mac meal and a detailed version of last nights events, and Kelly finally forgave her. They could never stay mad at each other for long. They were like sisters. She dropped Chrystal home about 3.32pm which left her with nothing but her own thoughts. She checked her phone hopefully, her heart sank when she seen there were no new notifications. He hadn't text. Why would he? She stomped off to her room and got into bed, throwing the duvet over her head. Damn Ashton Irwin, she thought as she drifted off into an exhausted sleep.
