"So, how'd you like your coffee?" Chrystal asked, standing awkwardly in the middle of her small kitchen.
"One sugar, no milk," He said, looking curiously around.
"Ew," She said, crinkling her nose in disgust. He turned his curious gaze onto her, and smiled.
"And how do you like yours?"
"Milky with lots and lots of sugar!" She said, turning on her heels to fetch some cups. She reached up to retrieve the mugs and heard a sharp intake of breath behind her. She smiled remembering she was wearing only a t-shirt and panties. Enjoy the view, she thought wickedly to herself, pretending not to have noticed. She placed the mugs on the counter and turned to face him. He was leaning against the counter, watching her with a dark look in his eyes. She noticed for the first time how good he looked. He wore a grey long sleeve t-shirt which had a logo she couldn't place, black tight jeans and black boots. He noticed her staring and cocked an eyebrow at her, letting his head tilt to one side. She giggled and moved slowly towards him. He straightened up as she stood right in front of him, so close that they were almost touching. She looked up at him through her thick lashes and whispered, "Pass me the sugar." His sexy smile that he had been wearing changed to a confused expression so quickly it was almost funny. "What?" He asked looking down at her completely lost. Rolling her eyes, she reached around him and grabbed the sugar dish. She placed her hand against his chest to steady herself, and smiled when she felt him tense at her touch.
She held the sugar up to him in an innocent explanation before she casually walked back to the other side of the kitchen. She heard him let out a long sigh behind her. She hummed as she fixed up the coffee, swaying her hips in a little private dance. She turned around with the coffee's in her hand, Ashton hadn't took his eyes off her. She smiled to herself and placed them on the table. He was leaning slightly on the counter, his hands balled into fists beside him. He looked too big to be in her small, pokey kitchen. She gestured with her hand to the seat next to her for him to join her. Slowly, and never taking his eyes off her, he pulled out the chair and sat down. They spoke of many things but Chrystal wasn't really concentrating. She was too engrossed in watching his mouth as he spoke and how he tangled his fingers in his messy hair. His eyes never left hers the whole time, they gleamed at her when he smiled. He was the most beautiful thing on this planet.
Once he drained his cup, she got up to put them in the sink. She reached over his shoulder to pick up his cup, she let her arm brush against his and he tensed again. The feeling she felt when she touched him was indescribable. It left her feeling giddy and breathless. Smiling again, she walked off and started to wash up the cups they had just used.
"I know what you're trying to do," He said accusingly. She laughed, staring at her bubbly hands in the sink.
"And what am I trying to do?" She said innocently. Suddenly, his hands were on her waist and she could feel his body pressed ever so slightly against hers. "Trying to tease me," he growled lowly in her ear. Gasping, her fingers lost grip of the cup and it splashed into the sink, soaking the front of her shirt. She pressed herself back against him eagerly and she felt him smile against her ear. She could hear his slow deep breaths and they made her tummy flutter wildly. "Breathe," he whispered, she exhaled loudly, she hadn't even realised she'd been holding her breath.
His hands slowly moved from her waist up her arms, he rubbed them soothingly a few times, raising goosebumps where his fingers stroked her skin. The whole time Chrystal had stayed locked in place, staring ahead of her. He kissed the back of her head gently and then released her from his grip, taking a step back. With his hands no longer on her, she could think more clearly. Taking a few shaking breaths she turned round to face him. He was so close, she had to tilt her head right back to look at his face. She playfully wiped her wet hands on his shirt which caused them to giggle, breaking the unbearable tension between them. He frowned at her, and playfully pulled her hair. "This shirt was expensive," He pouted, looking down at his now soaked shirt.
"I'll buy you a new one," Chrystal joked, walking towards the living area.
"Oh my god! It's getting late and I've got so much to do!" Chrystal half shouted, frustrated that she hadn't noticed how quickly the time slipped by. It was ten thirty. "Don't worry, I'll get out of your hair," He said, playfully pulling on her braid. "Thanks for the coffee," He said, moving towards the door. Part of her didn't want to leave, but another part was aching for him to go. "Anytime," she said, walking behind him to see him out. He suddenly stopped short and turned to face her. "Chrystal," he said it like a question.
"Yes?" She watched as he glanced, nervously at his feet before meeting her eyes.
"Come to dinner with me," he said, his big brown eyes pleading. God, how could she say no? Smiling, she moved around him and opened the door, leaving him hanging. He spun to face her, looking at her desperately. She motioned with her head for him to leave, she was still smiling. He shook his head and stopped in the doorway. "I'll think about it," She said, letting her voice sound tired and bored. His expression was incredulous.
"You'll what!?" He said in disbelief. She reached up onto her tiptoes and placed a small kiss on his cheek, "Good night Ashton," She said sweetly, closing the door on his shocked face. She stood with her back pressed against the door with the widest smile plastered on her face. After a few moments, she heard him mutter something like "tease" and then he was gone.
Chrystal smiled smugly as she finished up her cleaning and got into bed that night feeling happier than she had in- well, as long as she could remember. Her phone buzzed loudly beside her.
*ASHTON: So?* She smiled at the text and thought carefully before she sent her reply.
*CHRYSTAL: Still reaching a verdict, I'll let you know ASAP :)*
*ASHTON: Chrystal... Don't be a tease.*
*ASHTON: So it's a date?*
*CHRYSTAL: I suppose it is x*
*ASHTON: I'm extremely pleased, great choice Miss. Winters. You won't be dissapointed.*
*CHRYSTAL: Oh, I know you'll exceed all expectations, Mr. Irwin.*
Chrystal fell asleep that, thinking of Ashton, and for the first time in a long time, she felt hope.
