"Oh my god!" I yelled sitting up.
"What!?" Luke sprung up, looking around for danger.
"We're going to be late, the kids are going to be late" I said frantically, running to wake up the kids. Pulling out an outfit for each one, Blue jeans and a black t-shirt for the boys and black overall shorts with a blue t-shirt under for paisley.
"20 to 9" Luke called from downstairs, pulling some kind of on the road breakfast while I got dressed in a plaid unbuttoned shirt with a white tank top and red shorts.
"I'm ready" I called, grabbing the kids, mine and Luke's backpacks before rushing out the door, waiting to buckle up the kids. "One, two, three" I muttered to myself while buckling them in.
"It's fine" he reassured me, smiling lightly.
"I don't want them to be late and I don't want to be late" I said, starting to panic and fan myself.
"Emma" he said shocked, trying to drive and pay attention to me. "I'm going to drop them off and you stay here, I'll be back as soon as possible" he said quickly, grabbing the kids and walking them inside. "Emma, do you want to skip first and go do something else??" He asked gently.
"Take me to my moms" I said quietly, looking out the window.
"Of course" he said, driving straight there. "I'll wait in the car" He said quietly, parking.
"Mom" I said relived, running into her embrace.
"What's wrong??" She asked frantically.
"I'm so overwhelmed, triplets and Luke" I said, trying not to cry.
"Triplets are a handful but you can handle it I know it, but what's going on with Luke??" She asked, guiding me to the couch.
"I don't know anymore, it's like we hated each other for no reason and we are actually growing close" I said confused. "We were cuddling and it was nice but I couldn't handle it I walked away" I said quietly.
"Maybe you actually never hated each other, you just thought one hated the other and it went from there" she shrugged. "You should go back to school" she said after a long silence.
"Maybe" I said before walking out of the house. "Hey" I said, as I buckled in.
"You feeling better now??" He asked, sounding genuinely concerned.
"Yeah, I'm fine" I managed out once the butterflies stopped, I can't like him.
~later, in the evening~
"I don't like school" paisley blurted, looking like she was going to cry.
"Why??" Me and Luke asked quickly.
"I don't have friends" she said quietly.
"How come??" Luke asked, sitting her on the couch between us.
"I don't know" she sighed, a tear falling.
"We'll be your friends till you get some" Paxton said, hugging paisley.
"Okay, I love you" She smiled, kissing him on the cheek then giving Parker one as well before going upstairs.
"Ew" the both said wiping they're cheeks and running after her.
"I remember when I was their age" I chuckled, pausing. "I made some really stupid decisions" I took a deep breath. 'Yeah like making her hate you' I thought to myself, making me want to punch something.
"I better go make dinner and get ready to leave" she said, getting up and walking to the kitchen.
"Want some help??" I asked m, following her to the kitchen.
"Sure" she smiled brightly, making me pause and stare. She has the most beautiful smile, I wish I could see it more. "You can get the bacon chopped and cooked but like not too crispy" she told me, throwing a pack of bacon at me.
Cooking dinner turned out to be a lot of fun, almost burnt the food but it turned out looking really good. We made bacon Macaroni and cheese, with extra bacon.
"Okay, I have to go before I'm late" she said, putting food on four plates and running upstairs. "Bye!" She called as she ran down the stairs in her dance clothes.
"See ya" I called back, handing each kid a plate and settling down to eat.
