1. My story

My name is Hope... I'm seventeen years old and since I remember myself I'm always on a fight with cancer...

I was about four years old when I started having really painful headaches.. That was not a normal thing of a child in my age.. My parents were worried... They were scared... They took me to a doctor.. Actually a lot of doctors.. No one could find what was wrong with me... All of them were saying, "your daughter just have a flu, give her painkillers and it will go away".
It never went away... One year later I was still in the same situation... That was the time when my dad literally freaked out... He took me out of the country.. Just in a heartbeat we moved from a little village in Europe to Australia...
I could not understand why this happened... I was too young... My first day there was exactly like the others.. Full of pain...
About a week after we moved there my parents started taking me to doctors... But, there was no different news...

-Doctor 1: It's just a flu"

-Doctor 2: Give her painkillers"

-Doctor 3: I think she's faking"

HOW? HOW? HOW? Could a baby fake something like that? My parents were sure that something was really wrong with me.... They never gave up on me and that payed off.....
They decided that it was about time to visit another kind of doctor... An oncologist... That day their and my nightmare just started....

-Doctor 4:
Your daughter has brain tumor"

T
hat moment they lost their world.. They could not react.. They could not believe that their precious had.... Cancer...
I was too young to understand.. I did not know what cancer was.. I thought it was a game... That game tho, became my worst enemy..

I was suffering for over a year when someone finally gave to my parents an answer... The doctor was also scared.. I remember him saying to my parents...

-Doctor: I don't know if she can fight this thing... It's been a year and she never took the right treatment.. I hope that her age will help her"

My mom was crying.. My dad.. He was lost...

Two days later the tests started...
brain scans, blood tests, x-rays..

After a week they finally found out how they could fight "my game"... SURGERY and then chemo. Oh well... They were not sure about the chemotherapy because there was a possibility that I was not going to survive... It was a twelve hours surgery.. I was five years old.. The odds were against me... No one was happy but they took the risk... I could not leave this world without fighting..
