8. A Cure for the Pain
Pain is like nails.
Pain is like ice.
Pain is like breathing.
Pain is living.
In pain we see other pain.
In life we see what we want to see.
There is a choice in who pains you.
But, there is no choice in weather you have pain.
Pain is like cold water.
Pain is like cold water inside you.
Pain is like drowning in cold water as you sink.
Pain is like drowning in the ocean in the middle of December.
I can't stop the pain.
All I do is hurt.
All I am is pain.
What do I do when I can't handle the pain?
Are you okay?
Pain is lying.
Pain is lying in the water.
Pain is lying in the cold water.
Pain is lying in the cold water as you search for shore.
Pain is losing sight.
Pain is losing sight of what is right.
Pain is losing sight of who you are.
Pain is darkness.
Pain is darkness after you have fallen asleep.
Pain is nightmares.
Pain is horror.
Pain is being alone in the cold water lying in the middle of the ocean in December.
Love is swimming to shore.
Love is what is needed.
Love is what I crave.
Love is what I need to stop the pain.
I need love.
I don't want pain.
I need love -
to erase the pain.
