8. chapter eight
But even though I was against this idea, the idea of going back to the bookstore take over me and so Sean won.
The first thing we did was going shopping with Emma. "You like this? I tried it on and it's amazing" she asks me. "Is it for prom?" "Yeah" I smile "but isn't it a little early to think about prom Emma?" She pretends to think about it and then says "nah" Sean smiles and tries to look annoyed "shall we go now, finally?" "Yeah just give me the time to pay this and we'll go Sean" Emma says.
Emma's dress is stunning. It's yellow and I know that yellow isn't a great color for clothes; but believe me, Emma looks beautiful in yellow. Not too short, the dress does look perfect, just as she said. Even Sean didn't know what to say and he just stared, when Emma came about of the cabin with her dress on.
And so she paid, and two minutes later we were in front of the bookstore. I check my pockets. thirty dollars, and I'm not gonna save any of them. I take a deep breath and walk in. The first thing I see is my favorite quote of all history hanging on the wall by the till, "you can't buy happiness, but you can by books and that's kind of the same thing.".
Fifteen minutes later we were sitting on the bench outside the main entrance; Emma with her beautiful dress, me with my two brand new books and Sean moaning about me and Emma being to long in shops.
