I groaned as I walked into the dreadful class room. I walked over to my desk and plopped down. I put my head in my hands and tried to go back to sleep. "Wake Marshall, Mrs. Satan's Daughter just walked in." Giggled my friend, Luke, addressing me by my last name. "I swear to God Hemmings, you;re going to regret waking me up." I snarled, slowly rising my head. I heard a giggle from next to, causing me to snap my head in the same direction. I saw Michael sitting there, with a stupid little grin on his face.
"Can I help you?" I snapped. His grin quickly dropped as he shook his head and looked away. "Don't be so harsh on him. He's new." Luke scolded me. "What's your name?" He asked, turning his head towards the red head. Michael looked around before he pointed to himself and said, "Me?" "Yes you. What's your name?" Luke asked again. I could tell by looking at his face that he was getting annoyed. He hated repeating himself.
"Oh um, I'm Michael. Michael Clifford." Michael replied. I saw Luke smirk in the corner of my eye. "Well Clifford, I'm Luke. Luke Hemmings and welcome to Sydney High School. Or as we all here call it, Hell."
I walked over to my car, waiting for Ashton to hurry up. You see, I'm the only one who has a car, besides Luke, and we take Willow and Ashton to and from school. I usually take Willow in the morning and Ashton after school and Luke takes Ashton in the morning and Willow after school. I groan and pull out a cigarette as I continue to wait for the slow bastard.
"Those kill you." I heard a voice say from behind. I turn around to see Michael and groan for what seemed like the hundredth time today. "And I care why?" I ask, my tolerance for him dropping at lightning speed. "I don't know. I just thought you should know." He shrugged. I rolled my eyes and took a drag from the cancer stick and blew it in his face, causing him to cough.
"Can you please not do that?" He asked nicely. I stared at him with my emotionless hazel eyes. "Don't tell me what to do." I snapped, right as Ashton approached my car. "About fucking time." I sighed, "Let's go." I continued. "Bye Piper." Michael said. I ignored him as I started my car and drove off. "Who was that?" Ashton asked. "Newbie." I replied, taking a drag of the cigarette and blowing out the window. "He seems pretty cool." He commented. "Whatever." I replied, "He's annoying." I continued as I pulled up to Ashton's house.
"You gonna come in?" He asked. "Nah, I'm gonna go see if my parents will actually be home tonight." I replied, looking straight out the windshield. "Alright. If you want to come back later you can." He said nicely. "Alright. Thanks Ash. Loooove youuuu!" I said jokingly. "Love you, too, babe." He said winking. I laughed and drove home.
As I pulled up into my driveway, I saw people moving in next door. I payed no attention to them, but as I was walking up to my door, I saw the familiar flaming red hair.
"You've got to be fucking kidding me."
