9. Chapter 8

"Oh Lou your back? Your not going today?" I heard a women's voice, but I couldn't see who because the couch was facing the other way and Louis was blocking the person. "Nope, I decided to help out on an experiment." I heard him say. "Oh yea? What kind of experiment?" I felt Louis move to the side and I turned around slowly, to see his mom, I think. Her eyes grew wide and surprised, I got nervous and shot my head down and away and mumbled a 'Hello'.  She said hi too then they went into another room, but I could still slightly hear them.

"Lou she's beautiful. Why didn't you say you were bring a girl like that over?" his mom said. "I don't know because the last time I did you acted like a completely different person? And now look where that got me? I want to get her out of her comfort zone." I heard most of the parts I wasn't to sure on the last sentence though because they got really quiet. They had been in the kitchen long enough for me to stand up and looked at their family portraits on the wall near the stairs. Looking at the photos I could tell they were a big family, but I could also tell that the man I see in the photos wasn't Louis's father. My eyes watered and I started crying. I wiped the tears away as quickly as I could, but more came.

"Hey, are you ok?" I looked over to the stairs and saw a girl, she looked older and she had been in the photos. "Ah yea. Sorry, um where's the bathroom?" I asked her and she pointed up the stairs, I walked past her hiding my face and found the bathroom at the top of the stairs. I went inside and shut the door behind me. I wiped the tears away and calm myself down. Then I took some cold water and wet my face. I felt better, I walked out the bathroom and saw Louis waiting for me at the top of the stairs leaning against the railing. He looked up at me because he was on his phone. He smiled at me and nodded toward a room, his room I suppose.

I stepped through the door frame and looked around he had drawings all over his wall of all these crazy things. I saw a skateboard in his room and a guitar. I also saw a violin hiding in his closet. He had a desk with a laptop and a few other nice things.I was quiet jealous of all the things he had, this was his life and mine was in a alley. He caught me staring into his closet when I noticed the violin. "You play?" He asked and looked down away from the violin. "Long time ago." I told him as he walked over to the closet, he grabbed the violin and handed it to me. "Play something for me." he said a way that sounded weird and I knew what this was. I gave him back the violin and shook my head backing away.

"Why don't we go back to that park?" I asked and he just shrugged and put the violin down on his bed. We walked back downstairs and out the door. We went back to the park where we first arrived and I sat on a bench, taking deep breathes. He was being to friendly, I wasn't use to it and I hated being alone with a boy. I've only had one boyfriend and we didn't work out because we like being friends more, and that was James.

Louis stood up and reach out for my hand and I stared at him. He smiled and nodded. "C'mon Let's do something. You owe me anyway." I grabbed his hand and he walked me to his car and we got in. I had no idea where we were going, but I needed to keep my job away from Grace and James. 'I can't have them worrying about me' was what I told myself all day.
