7. Chapter 6
"Casey?" I froze looking dead at Louis. "H-hi." I muttered I looked down scared. "You guys know each other?" I looked up at Harry and Louis. "Yea we go to school together. But you said you had track, are you keeping secrets from your friends?" Louis said talking to me. "Please don't tell Grace or James, it'll only make them worry." I begged and Louis smirked at me, I got a little scared. He reached in his pocket and pulled out a coin.
"Ok then, Heads I keep you secret....with a price. Tails you tell them you work here and never lie to them again." He said, is he crazy?! Putting a secret on the chance of a coin? What the hell?! "Don't you think this is a little risky? This is my secret here." I said and he shrugged. "Yea or I can just go and tell James right-" "Ok! The coin! The coin." I cut him off and he smirked again. Then he tossed the coin in the air, it felt like the slowest moment ever as the coin came back down, and Louis caught it so neither of us could see it.
"You sure you don't wanna just tell them?" He said as if the coin was on his side. I just glared at him as he showed me the coin. Therefore, my secret was safe. "Hmm. Your lucky but you realize that you owe me." He said in the cheekiest way he could. I just turned away and went to change and clock out. When I walked out the bakery there was Louis waiting. "If your waiting on Harry, he went out the back way." I said and started to walk home, then Louis started following me. "Who said I was waiting on Haz? I wanted to talk to you about how you will pay me for keeping your secret." By the way Louis was talking I felt uneasy, I ended up walking faster without realizing it. But he kept up with me.
"Look! Louis I'm grateful that your going to keep my secret and all, but could you not follow me like some weirdo creep." I said stopping and looking at him. He made a strange face and walked on ahead of me. I took a deep breathe and walked a different direction to my house. I walked inside and saw my mom trying to get down the steps. "Mama, I told you not to get out of bed today. Your already weak as it is." I told her and wrapped her arm around me and walked her to the couch.
"I'm sorry sweetie. I thought that I could do this one thing by myself, but I guess not. I'm just so useless for you. I'm a horrible mother. I'm so sorry Cassidy." My mom started to cry and I felt depressed. "No mama. Your a great mother. Me and Danny know that. Mama your amazing, but you have to stay in bed." I told her and wrapped her arm around me again and took her upstairs to her room. I made her some soup and went to my room and did my homework. "Sooner or later it will just be me." I thought as tears started to roam down my face.
