“Cassy? Are you in there?” What kind of question is that? How could have I got out of here anyway?
The sentence floats around my mind. The rebellion can begin. Do I want to be part of the rebellion? He’s just dragged me into this! Randomly, out of the blue, plunged me straight into some crazy plan! Can he do that?
“No,” I call out and I hear him laugh.
“Come on, I need to explain what’s going on,” he says calmly and knocks on the door again. Explain? That’s good. Explain this whole mess. Slowly, I unlock the door and walk out, leaving me previous attire in a mess on the floor.
“Evel, stop snogging your girlfriend and get over here!” yells Chrisie and Evel laughs. Girlfriend? Evel has a girlfriend? I look around for anyone he might have been snogging, then get the joke. She meant me. I’m not his girlfriend!
Evel tugs me over to the table where everyone re-gathers.
“Chrisie, care to explain the plan to Cassy?” Chrisie sneers at me and sighs.
“Sure, fine. Head have this plan, it’s crazy and diabolical. Head hates un-decedents and young decedents. Especially red-heads. They think that they will take over, wipe out Head’s work and the older decedents. Head doesn’t want that, so, Head is trying to wipe out every un-decedent and young decedent. Including us.”
“Which means,” pipes in Melody.
“We have to stop Head. Coming prepared, we have devised an attack plan.” Then Melody explains.
Apparently, me, Evel, Chrisie and Kye are going to go into the lift and travel to the fifth floor. Go across fifth floor, to the end where we wait for Ellio and Ben to wire up the elevator to go to the sixth floor. Harry and Max are going to attack the security whilst this is happening. When the elevator doors open, it’s the signal to go in. Then we go to the sixth floor and find Head. If it’s a group of people, Evel will send the signal for back up. If it’s one person, then me and Evel will attack whilst Chrisie and Kye gets everyone out.
“Ok,” I say. I’ve been included in this plan for quite a while according to Kye. Evel added me in, even before I didn’t know him.
“Got it girlie?” asks Chrisie and I nod. Evel smiles.
“Good, because we’re leaving right now.” And with that, I’m shoved out of the door and up the stairs, out the upstairs door and away from Evel’s house straight to the daunting HQ.
