I don't know how long we were at the arcade, but I had a blast hanging out with the four of them. I beat Calum, Ashton and Luke at this water skiing game, but then Michael finally beat me. Ashton and I were still playing air hockey when I heard Luke scream "Noooooooo!"
I looked over to see Calum and Michael beating him at ski ball. While I was looking at them, Ashton scored another point.
"Hey!" I exclaimed.
"Hey yourself!" said Ashton laughing. He had won. I laughed with him.
It was already dark when we all finally walked out of the arcade. I checked my cell for the time. It was almost 10pm.
"Ahmahgad Michael stahp being good at video games!" announced Luke. We all laughed at this.
"Hey, I should be getting back home," I said.
"Ok. We'll all walk you home," said Ashton."All of us are going to hang out at my place anyway."
It took longer than I thought to get to my house, and it was getting later.
"So, you just moved here yesterday right?" asked Luke.
"Yup," I replied. I was walking with Luke on my left, Ashton on my right, and Michael and Calum in front of us.
"Where are you from?" asked Ashton. They ask so many questions, then again not many people want to know about me.
"I'm from North Carolina," I said.
"Where is that exactly?" asked Luke. They were taking turns asking the questions.
"The United States," I replied.
"Ooooh. Your from America. That makes sense,"said Ashton and Luke at the same time. I think Calum and Michael were talking about some girl they know.
"What you mean?" I asked.
"Well, you do have an American accent so it makes sense you're from America," said Ashton. Luke was smiling while humming a song.
"Luke stop humming that song! We haven't released it yet!" Shouted Michael and Calum together.
"I'm sorry! That song has been stuck in my head all day!" said Luke definsively.
"Wait what," I said.
"We're in a band we call 5 Seconds of Summer," answered Luke.
"We're not that good," said Calum.
"Then let's hear it," I said.
"Hear what?" asked Ashton.
"The song," I replied.
"Nahh. We sound terrible," said Calum. He doesn't realize that I've heard them singing last night and they don't sound horrible.
"Life's a tangled web of cell phone calls and hashtag I don't knows," Luke started to sing. His voice was amazing. "And you, you're so caught up in all the blinking lights and dial tones. I'll admit I'm a bit of a victim of the worldwide system too, but I found my sweet escape when I'm alone with you."
"Luke, sush," said Michael.
"Well then," said Luke.
"That was really good. Why do guys keep saying that you're terrible?" I asked.
"Thanks, but we kinda suck," said Calum.
"Yeah right. I heard you guys playing American Idiot. You guys are really good!" I said.
Luke just blushed and looked down at his shoes. Ashton smiled his wide smile with those cute dimples. Calum and Michael were laughing.
