Mystery Dancer

Liv was a girl from New York City, USA. All that changed when she won the biggest ballet competition in the world and got the chance to move to Sydney, Australia. There, she becomes a student at the Australian Academy of Dance. Will Liv become the prima ballerina she is aspiring to be... Or will something or someone distract her and get in the way of her career.

The next day I was so nervous because if I don't get a scholar ship I'll have to go to the New York City ballet company! Don't get me wrong they're great there and I already know lots of people because of my parents but, they all expect me to be and dance just like them. At the New York City ballet I'm the daughter of Mrs. and Mr. Kamaracov and I want to be my own dancer! If I go someplace else I'll just be Olivia, with no standards put on me by my parents.

I got to Lincoln Center the stage we would be performing on, in a cab. I arrived alone because my parent make me nervous so they know just to leave me alone before a performance and after they are free to hug and embarrass me as much as they please. I walked in with confidence because once you enter that dressing room it's go time. People start sizing you up as soon as they lay eyes on you. They look to see if your a threat and they saw me as a big one 'cause of my parents. Once my make up for black swan was on I did my hair, put on my tights and slipped into my costume. I put my shoes on to go warm up in the hallway to the stage. I was all stretched and ready to go!

The stage director called me to get ready on the wings of the stage. As soon as they announced my name shivers want down my spine. I shook them away though, it was go time and I had a lot to loose. I went on that stage fierce and channeled my black swan! Once I got off the stage I heard my teacher say,

"You didn't miss a beat!" Said thank you and rushed to get ready for Gisselle hopping I could do it as good as black swan.

I did Gisselle good but not as perfect as black swan. I put on my normal clothes and waited for the results. once everyone was done dancing it took about half and hour to comprise the results. They had every one in my age division go on stage for there awards. They would announce the medals, then most important the scholar ships and company contracts!!! I wanted one to a different country so bad. That way I could find my own dance path instead of following in my parents.

A scholarship was also a big deal cause the directors of the companies are hand picking you out of all the amazing dancers here. Then I heard my name! The announcer said, "Olivia Karamacov awarded a scholar ship to the Australian academy of dance and once finished with her work there a spot in the Australian ballet company." I was frozen!! I could not move then someone nudged me and I was back in reality, a really great reality at that!

I get to go to the Australian ballet academy! It's just what I wanted and then after that I got a spot on the company too!!! That rarely ever happens that someone gets awarded both!!! I think it's probably because in 17 and only have one more year of training left then I can go into the company. Aaaaaaahhh this is so great, Australia here I come.
