My life was lonely...I was always moving. I have been to 5 different elementary schools 4 middle schools and 4 high schools. My mom and dad promised this was the last move, no more. It was my senior year and all I wanted was to finish it off as normal as I could. I joined the schools dance group to try and make friends. The second week there was a special visitor and this one class would change my life...forever.

10. Chapter 9- Silhouettes

I pulled over to the side of the road. "You want me to take you where?"

"Look, I know I shouldn't, I know we need to practice, but I need to see her real quick." his eyes looked hopeless.

"And what do I do? Just wait in the car?" I slammed my hand on the steering wheel.

"No, you can come in her house. I just have to pick something up."

I sighed and rolled my eyes. I don't honestly know their past, I just know one second they're dating and then the next second they aren't. I just don't want to get involved in all their drama.

"Five minutes max." he reached over and grabbed my hand, "I promise."

We pulled up to a gate. Justin told me four different numbers to type in and the gate opened. You couldn't see her house from the street because of the stone wall and bushes on top. I pulled in the drive way. Justin hopped out of the car, before shutting the door he looked in at me.

   "Five minutes, I promise."

"Promises mean a lot to me. Once they're broken, it's hard to fix them with me."

"I know." he smiled, making my stomach feel warm. He shut the car door then ran to the house door.

I tried to watch what happened without making it obvious. The front door opened and he slipped inside the house. I watched the clock. I could see shadows moving inside the house. Moving from room to room, lights turning on then off. The shorter silhouette was leading the taller one around. The shorter silhouette, which I assumed was Selena, kept trying to put her hands on him, but he kept moving away. I looked down and turned the radio up. Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran was playing, the clock read that he was in there for four minutes. I looked back up and he was storming out the front door and towards the car.

He opened the door and sat down. He adjusted his hat and slid his body down the seat.

"Hey, can you put your seat belt on please." I started the car back up.

"Really?" he looked at me, forcing a smile.

"Yeah, kind of a parent-child car rule.." I shrugged my shoulders, "I honestly don't care, they do."

"Well, if that's the case, absolutely." he sat up and put his seat belt on. I pulled out of her drive way and turned back on the main street.

  "Hey Justin..."

He turned and faced me instead of looking out the window. "Yeah shawty."

A smile spread across my face, "Where's the closest ice cream shop?"

A confused look went on his face.

"You still owe me ice promised..."

A smile spread across our faces. "There's one on your left."
