Ruby's point of view
I hear his alarm go off a few hours later. It's still dark out. I groan, holding onto him tighter.
"I've gotta go." he whispers, sleepily. He sits up, rubbing his eyes. My arms are still wrapped around him but he's not getting pulled down.
"Just stay for another hour." I mumble.
"No Ruby, I've really gotta go in case Jonas wakes up." he insists but he lies back down.
"One more hour." I whisper, kissing his cheek.
He nods, already falling asleep. "One more hour."
I'm kind of hoping he stays for longer than that but he really does wake up an hour later, ready to go. When I wake up, he's just creeping out of bed. He slept in his jeans all night and I don't know why I find that so cute but I do.
"Hey." I say, quietly, a smile on my face. "Where do you think you're going?"
He stops in his tracks and chuckles, turning around to face me.
"Ruby, I have to go now, it's seven."
"Just come here for five minutes." I say, sitting up. "Please? He won't wake up for hours anyway, just five minutes."
He sighs but then grins, sitting back in bed beside me and kissing me. I kiss him back and I think he intended for it to be a quick kiss but I don't think any kiss should be quick. He smiles against my lips, pulling me onto his lap and kissing me more. It's light now but my curtains are drawn making the light seem really diluted and fresh. I relax into him more for a little while before smiling and putting my forehead on his.
"Good morning." I say.
He smiles back. "Good morning. I wanna ask you something."
He laughs a little. "Okay. So me, Jonas and the rest of the guys are planning a vacation to go to Barbados for a week."
"Yeah. I want you to come with us which I obviously haven't told anyone but Jonas wants you to come and he's going to ask you."
I look at him curiously. "So what are you asking me?"
"I'm asking you to say yes." he says and we both laugh.
"Sure, I'll go." I smile. "Can I bring Carrie?"
"Yeah, for sure." he nods, playing with a piece of my hair. I love when he does that.
"How are you paying for this?" I ask.
"One of the guys who is going, Jason, his Mom and Dad are crazy rich and they own the resort we're going to stay at, they live out there, they moved as soon as Jason went to college. They love paying for Jason and all of his friends to go out there. You don't have to pay a dime."
I grin. "That's awesome."
"Yeah it is." he smiles. "We might even get some proper time alone when Jonas is occupied with everyone else."
"I hope so." I kiss him again.
He kisses me back before pulling away. "I've gotta go."
"Okay." I climb off his lap. "See you at breakfast."
He grins. "See you at breakfast."
