When I Fell

Falling in love is tricky. There are so many movies and books that make it seem so easy and passionate and right but in the real word it's confusing and exciting and fun and frustrating and in the real world, things get in the way.

Chris' point of view

I feel terrible about the whole thing. I want to tell her what to do and make her feel happier but I honestly have no idea what to do either. It's made me realise something else, though. Not that I'm enjoying this at all, but it's all made me realise how real Ruby and I are as a couple. In other relationships, I was in them because they were fun and nice. This isn't fun and nice anymore, but I'm not leaving just because of that. I'm staying because I love her and I care about her and I think that's what real love is. She texts me at six in the morning but I don't get it until I wake up at ten:

I know you're asleep but what are you doing today? I want to spend some time with you & get away from Jonas x

I so want that too but I can't. I reply:

I'm soooo sorry, me and all of the guys are going surfing today. X

She replies:

No problem xx

I hesitate but reply:

Jason's going to be there

She replies ten minutes later:

I know. Jonas just came into my room, we're good now. Jason still said all of that but Jonas and I aren't fighting anymore. He told me all about your whole surfing crew haha x

I reply:

Rubes, are you okay? x

She replies:

Yeah, why? X

I reply:

You just had that whole moment last night and now you seem fine. I just don't want you to slip back into that mood you were in last year

She replies:

I'm not going to. Have fun surfing x

And I leave it at that, not believing her for a second.
