Chris' point of view
I'm sat playing video games with Jonas the next morning and I'm exhausted. I keep yawning and Jonas looks at me, frowning.
"Yeah." I yawn again.
He laughs. "Dude, you're dead. What were you doing?"
"Studying. My sports therapy class is so tough, I don't understand anything."
He nods. "I hear you, man. I understand nothing about my economics class."
We hear Ruby before we see her.
"Jonas, I swear to god, if you leave the toilet seat up again or spill your hair stuff everywhere again or don't pick up your underwear from the bathroom floor again, I will actually go bat shit crazy and-"
She stops dead when she sees me and smiles. "Hi." She glares at Jonas. "You'll die."
Jonas doesn't look at her, but I can see him grinding his teeth. "Well if you clog up the shower with your hair or get eyeliner on the mirror or have stupid crushes on my friends again, I'm gonna be the one going bat shit crazy."
She shoots me a worried look and I return it without Jonas seeing us.
"What do you mean have stupid crushes on your friends?" she asks.
"Jason." he says and I look at Ruby to see her reaction. The colour has drained from her face. She's just staring at Jonas.
"What?" she asks, her voice shaking a little.
"Jason told me all about how you wouldn't leave him alone in Barbados and how you keep sending him Facebook messages and how you seem a little obsessed with him and how it's annoying. You need to give up, alright? It's pathetic."
Her mouth drops open a little and she's breathing heavily now. She just runs out of the house, slamming the door behind her. I try to act casual but my heart is beating so fast.
"She's such a psycho." Jonas mutters, shaking his head.
"Did Jason really say that?" I ask after a moment.
"Do you think he was telling the truth?"
He nods. "My sister's such a freak. Plus, why would he make something like that up?"
I just nod, swallowing the lump in my throat. I have no idea what to do.
