Uh-oh...which do I chose? I'm probably screwed either way...
"Ummm" I sputter out, "Uhhh, truth...?"
She seems to think a moment, before she spits out one word. "Boys."
I roll my eyes. Seriously? "That's not a question. But shoot, I'll tell you whatever you want. You don't have to pretend to want to play a question game just to talk to me."
"I'm not, I really do want to play. But you have to cooperate, too."
"Then go ahead and ask, because I have nothing to hide." She raises and eyebrow at me. "Nothing to hide from you guys, anyway. But you know I'll tell you whatever. I always have. So, boys...You get one question. Chose wisely." We were kind of both just smirking at each other.
"Okay, sooo... Who do you like?"
"What are we, little kids?" I joke. But I know her meaning, she didn't mean who do you like, she meant who do you like, like which guy is for real. I'm a little sad they even have to ask that question, but I have nothing to hide. I really don't, not with this question. I can answer it completely truthful without even feeling embarrassed about it. "Daymien." They all look around like whoops because I just said that in front of him, but I just smile and look up at him next to me, look at him smirking down at me. That earns him a shove from me. He then grabs me and starts tickling me. "Guys!" I scream, "Make him stop! Please!"
I hear some clicking noise as well as somebody say something, but I couldn't really pay attention to much besides my laughter, hurting sides, and Daymien, who has stopped tickling me, but was still leaning over me. I find myself lost in his eyes, stuck like any other time. He leans down and I squirm my body upward to meet his, wrap my arms around his neck, and meet his lips with mine for a kiss. Sparks fly, full out fireworks, really, and I smile into the kiss as our audience whistles and claps, but we don't pull away yet, just stay where we are. It was only that clicking sound again that drew me from him, causing me to face a camera flash.
"You guys are so adorable." I look at the owner of the voice who had spoken those words, shocked.
"Really?" I ask, but can't help but smile, or I guess, can't stop my smiling. "Thank you Sky. It just feels right, I don't know how to explain it..."
"You don't need to." But I feel like I should..." No, really. We're just glad you're finally happy."
"You guys have always made me happy. I'm really glad to have you guys, even if you aren't who my parents picked. I mean, who are they to say who I can and can't hang out with?"
"And marry?" All eyes are on me, and I have no idea what to say. I look away, face in my hands, talking into them. "Somebody else just play the stupid game, okay?"
Arms tighten around mt shoulder and someone kisses my head. I glance up from my palms, and Daymien's unsure but trying to be convincing smile almost drives everything away.
