After Emily's date night, she was dropped off back at the hospital, and admitted back into her bed. She crawled in and flicked off the light. The light from the hallway snuck in through the partly cracked door. She slowly fell asleep to the commotion outside, she could hear nurses, and footsteps and soon nothing as she fell into the void of sleep. A man entered her room, always when she sleeps. He walked around and crouched down next to her bed, just a couple feet from her face.
"He isn't who you think he is." his soothing voice whispered. He kissed her forehead and stood up.
"We have to go!" a woman's voice snapped, she stood in the doorway, peaking in.
"Yeah, I know, we have to catch this guy before he kills the girl." he replied before walking out.
Emily's eyes flung open, looking around the room. She raised her hand to her forehead.
"What?" she thought to herself, rubbing her forehead franticly.
"Who is trying to kill me?" she thought.
The next morning she woke up to the sound of Allison's voice, screaming as she slammed her phone onto her leg.
"Flappy Bird?" Emily croaked, sitting up.
"No, Crossy Road." she grumbled, crossed her arms and making a pouty face.
"So you getting out of here soon?" she smiled, picking her phone back up again.
"Yeah, they might even let me out today." Emily giggled, watching Allison's face expression change from happy to annoyed.
"I HATE THIS GAME!" she shouts, throwing her phone into the chair across the room, which fortunately bounced only a little, and still laid on the chair.
Then Emily heard the voice, the same soothing voice she heard last night.
"He is here, I know it!" the voice shouted. Emily needed to know who it was.
She jumped out of bed, grabbing her IV bags and dragging them with her.
She popped her head out the door but didn't see anyone.
"What's wrong?" Allison ran behind Emily, looking around.
"I thought I heard someone I knew, but I guess not." she shrugged. She would tell Allison but she knew the reaction she was going to get and she didn't need it.
"Jeesh, well Lighting McQueen needs to go back to bed." Allison joked, before plopping back down into the couch.
Emily flashed a fake smile and went back into bed.
She was going to tell Loki about this, he would protect her
