"Louis are you sure." I say stopping in the threshold of the door.
"I'm positive. I wouldn't let you meet her if I wasn't sure." I smile grabbing onto the strap of my bag. I can't believe how nervous I am. I's sweating out of this dress at the thought of meeting her. He grabs my hand and pulls me inside. It smells so great in here, the scent drifting us in the direction of the kitchen.
"Louis is that you?" A quippy accent calls.
"Yeah it's us. El." He stops noticing that I've stopped walking and waits looking back at me. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing." I swallow and finish behind him. A short brunette stands over a pot stirring a wooden spoon through it's contents.
"El, this is my best-friend Norie. Norie this is El. My fiance." I smile at her. She does the same, her features falling into small soft lines.
"You are so beautiful." She tells me crossing the kitchen to give me a hug. "I've heard so much about you." Oh no. I look to Louis who shrugs.
"I've heard a lot about you too."
"Oh my. What has he told you?" She gives him a look full of love and curiosity.
"Nothing bad." I laugh. "How sweet and understanding you are."
"Has he?" I nod as she reaches up to give him a kiss on the cheek. "Well guys diner will be done in just a sec. A few of my friends are coming over. Is that okay?" I nod and look at Louis who fidgets with his vest.
"Well lets go sit." He tells me and shows me to the livingroom. A small but nice little place.
"Who is she inviting?" I whisper and he shrugs, taking a candy from the bowl in front of him.
"Some of her friends from the industry. I can't remember all their names."
"Fiance." He corrects me. "And I'm a wonderful Fiance. I just don't like her friends."
"Like not even one."
"Not even one." He laughs. My phone buzzes in my pocket for the fifth time today. This time it is not from my mother but from Liam.
What are you doing?
What do you mean, I'm at a dinner. I told you this. I send back. Louis is eyeing me when I click the power button.
"Has he been texting you?"
"Who Liam? Ye-" He shakes his head.
"You know who I'm talking about." I do. I just don't want to bring him up and end up crying in his lap like last time. I have to admit, leaving Phoenix was hard but after seeing him standing in that line going up to my plane I nearly lost it.
"What are you doing?" He asked stepping forward towards me. "You are not getting on that plane. You can't be serious."
"I am, now move." He grabbed a hold of my arm and pulled me away from the line. "Harry let me go. I will call security."
"You are selfish. You leaving is not going to help anything. You can't run from your problems all the time."
"And you can? I'm doing the same thing you did to me all those years ago. I can't be here anymore because everything reminds me of you and Zayn and Alex, and I can't do it anymore."
"Excuses." I pull away from him stepping backwards but he grabs me again.
"I fucking love you, just stay with me. Please?" His eyes are watering sending me into his arms-but I stop.
"I have to go, I've already transferred schools and-"
"Norie-did you hear me?"
"Yeah." He turns his head and stares at me. "No. What did you say?"
"Have you heard from him?"
"No." Which is true."I don't really care if I hear from him."
"So what are you doing today?" Liam asks, leaning in the doorway of my room.
"I don't know."
"What to go somewhere."
"Not really." I press my head into the pillow getting really sick of his questions.
"Liam, I'm fine just go, I need to do some work anyway."
"We both know that's not going to happen. You're going to sit here and wallow in pity all night until you fall asleep or drink yourself to death. Now lets go somewhere."
"Like where?" I leans up on my elbows and watch as he bites down on his thumb.
"Your house? What are we going to do at your house?"
"Have dinner." He smiles.
"Yes dinner, is it bad having dinner with a friend?"
"Well it's kind of Gay and um-we're not really friends."
"What do you mean we're not friends? We're great friends."
"I've known you for about a month, you're not my friend your her friend."
"If I wasn't I wouldn't be here."
"You're not supposed to be here. Can you just go."
"No, you're coming with me and we're having dinner. Get dressed now." I stare at him hoping for him to just walk away but he stand there looking right back at me.
"You may be a tough ass but I can break through to about almost anyone."
"Don't flatter yourself." I say getting up kicking a blanket in his direction. Dick.
