Draco snook out of the great hall during dinner, making sure nobody was following him. He headed towards the Gryffindor common room, repeating the password he has tortured out of an unsuspecting first year.
He headed up to Harry, Ron and Neville's dorm and sat on what he presumed was Ron's bed, judging by the huge Chudley Cannons poster, a local quidditch team adorned the wall.
Draco then proceeded to tip his bag upside down, unloading the contents of exactly 48 small alarm clocks onto the bed. He set four of them to go off every 15 minutes for three hours.
Carefully, Draco placed each alarm clock in an unsuspecting place. At the bottom of a bag of Bertie Bott's every flavour beans, in the corner of Neville's suitcase that lay under his bed, even one taped to the ceiling. Checking the time on his watch, he realised it was time for him to slip out unsuspectingly, knowing that the first alarm would go off at 3am.
With a huge smug grin on his faced, he saunters down the stairs towards the great hall.
Draco turned around and came face to face with Professor Snape. Despite being liked by the newly appointed defence against the dark arts teacher, Draco had always felt slightly intimidated by him.
"Can you tell me why you were sneaking around in the Gryffindor common room?"
Draco stuttered. "N...No sir."
"Let me rephrase that for you," Snape said, overly pronouncing each syllable, drawing each vowel out, "Tell me what you were up to Mr Malfoy."
The pair stood completely in silence for a few minutes, each one sizing up the other.
"Very well then. My office, Mr Malfoy."
A/N: I'm going to start writing this again! Thank you so much for your love and support. It's been a long time, thanks for sticking with me. And should I add a little romance into this? I'm not sure... - C
