11. Feelings

 October 22nd

1:56 p.m.

We had been in L.A. for about a week now, and Ashley and I had enough time to throughouly enjoy each others company. I also tried my hardest to ignore and avoid Andy.

Currently, everyone was at the studio planning appearances and such. Ashley and I were sharing a chair, Jinxx, CC and Andy were on the couch and Jake was on the other end of the room with one of the managers, producers and some other business person with a fancy title.

Andy had just gone out for a smoke and everyone was taking a break before picking exact dates.

I scanned the room and eavesdropped on random conversation. Hanging with this band and becoming a part of the process was so cool, and actually, it was less stressful than I excpected.

Ashley squeezed my thigh and pulled my attention to his face. I traced over his hair, his eyes, his gorgeous lips and jaw line; I was so happy with him.

"Hey," he said.

"Hi," I replied.

"So, I really want to join you to commemorate your first tour, but something came up."

My face dropped, "I really wanted you to help pick my outfit, Ash."

"I know," he kissed my shoulder, "I know. So did I, but I can't get out of this appointment."

"What is so much more important?" I asked, pouting.

"It's not more important, I just scheduled it before this even existed; before i had you." He explained, "It's to design my bass' for Warped."

I was so upset. We had planned a cute afternoon, and he actually made an effort to be involved.

"Okay," I said, "but you owe me, Ash."

He smirked, "I know."

I kissed him and he gripped my thigh again. I was just enjoying it when someone intentionally coughed.

We split and I saw Andy staring at the wall with an irritated look on his face.

I couldn't seem to convince him to get rid of his feelings for me. I had tried my damn hardest to focus on Ashley and myself, but he just wouldn't give up.

"Andy, you need to stop!" I tried.

I looked around, hoping that nobody was within earshot.

"I don't need to do shit, Kat! I fucking like you, okay?" He said.

His bright blue eyes pierced mine and I couldn't look away. He was just so incredibly attractive and I had no idea what to do from here.

"Andy, I've admitted that I have... had feelings for you, but I'm in love with Ashley!" I said.

"Bullshit! You even have to force yourself to say it's in the past, but you know you like me! You fucking know!"

"Andy! Stop!" My voice caught, "I do like you, okay, but I can't do anything about it. I'm with Ash right now, and I'm not trying to be the reason your band breaks up!"

He grabbed my shoulders and pushed me against the wall. He leaned in real close and looked at me for a second. My heart rate went through the roof and I could barely breathe.

"If you truly have any feelings for me, you won't break my heart by staying with Ashley, and ignoring the feelings you have for me." He said.

"What's wrong with you?" Ashley asked.

I hadn't told him anything of what Andy and I talked about, not to mention that I didn't plan to.

"It's nothing. Can we get back to work?" Andy said sharply.

"Okay," Oliver started.

I soon tuned everyone out and just admired Ashley's many tattoos. I tried to not think about Andy or any of his weird tricks.

He continually confused me, and I honestly couldn't think of a way to make him stop.

My eyes darted up, "Huh?"

"Are you even listening?" Andy snapped.

"Of course!" I threw back.

"So, Katherine, you will mainly be taking photos of the band with other bands, with fans and just hanging out at Warped." Oliver explained without noticing our tones.

I nodded, "Got it."

"You did extremely well with taking stage photos on the album tour, so we won't need too many more."

I shifted my eyes to Andy. His face was more plain and calm now, but he made direct eye contact and raised an eyebrow. My heart skipped a beat and I refocused on Oliver.

He stood up, "Well, that's about it!"

He left and soon a few others did the same.

Ashley squeezed my hand.

"Hmm?" I looked over at him.

"I have a surprise," he said, "I can't go with you tomorrow but Andy can."

My eyes got so big I thought they were going to pop out of my head.

"Isn't that good?" Ashley asked.

"Umm," I tried, "yeah, sure."

He kissed me and got up.

"Great! I asked him yesterday and he was pretty willing! I'm glad you're okay with it."

I rubbed my hand down my face and heard a chuckle; I looked at Andy who had a hand over his mouth as he laughed.

I furrowed my brows and flipped him off before going to find Jesa.

"Soon enough." Andy called.

I rolled my eyes; how immature could he be?!

October 23rd

12:43 p.m.

I was pacing Ashley's apartment for nearly an hour trying to figure out how to handle this.

I had no way of getting out of it; if I went by myself I would have to take the city bus, and I didn't have the slightest clue about the schedule. I was completely and utterly screwed.

I heard a knock on the door, and composed myself before getting it.

There he stood; leaning on the door frame with a smug little grin on his face.

"Hey," Andy said.

I rolled my eyes and pushed past him. I nearly ran down the stairs towards his car. He was lanky, so he easily caught up to me.

"A 'thank you' would be nice." He said.

"Why should I?" I snarled, getting in the car.

"I didn't have to take you," he started.

"Then why are you?!"

"Oh, come on! I was the only option."

He pulled out of the parking lot and headed for the highway. I focused on the passing scenery; avoiding Andy.

"Yeah," he said.

I searched the radio for something to listen to besides him. I found a station that was playing early 2000s rock. I smiled and focused back on the window; I didn't want him to think I was happy about any of this.

"Good choice." He said.

"I do have good taste." I said.

"Not the best, in my opinion." He mumbled.

"What is that supossed to mean?!" I screeched.

He didn't say anything for a second, and then I realized what he meant.

"Oh! My! God! Is that really what you're turning this into?!"

"I didn't say anything." He said simply.

My blood started to boil as he continued down the highway.

1:56 p.m.

We pulled into the parking lot of the largest shopping mall I had ever seen.

Andy slipped on a hat and sunglasses then headed towards the side entrance without even waiting for me.

"Hey!" I called, trying to catch up.

The mall was huge and I could barely see the ceiling. There weren't a ton of people there, but there was enough.

The first store we went to was a dress shop called Modern Models.

I searched the racks for about twenty minutes before heading to the dresing rooms.

Andy was already seated in one of the plush chairs and playing on his phone.

I rolled my eyes and went to try on the couple dresses I had picked out. I debated on them for a while then decided to ask Andy his opinion.

"Andy?" I said walking out of the cubicle.

"Hmm?" He replied.

He shifted his eyes from his phone to me.

"How's this one?" I asked.

I spun around and walked forward a little to give the full effect.

"Wow," he said.

"Good?" I asked.

"Gorgeous." He said.

I stopped for a second and looked directly at him. He stared back and smiled a little.

I blushed and went back to the dressing room.

"Thanks..." I called.

I shut and locked the door. I took off the dress and sat on the little bench.

I ran a hand through my hair and took a breath.

"Why does he always make me so flustered?!" I thought.

I sat there for a few more minutes until I figured that we should get going.

I headed out of the room and straight to the register without looking in Andy's direction. I heard him get up and follow me over.

"Debit or credit?" The cashier woman asked.

"Debit." I replied.

She scanned the dress and shoes, and placed them into a box then into a bag.

"Thank you." I said.

"Come again." She closed.

I spun around and almost ran into Andy.

"Need some help?" He asked.

I moved past him and headed for the door.

"I'm fine. Thanks." I said coldly.

"What is wrong with me?!" I thought again.
