I was finishing straightening my hair when there was a knock on the door. I carefully set down the hot iron, and rushed to get the breakfast I ordered for Ashley and myself.
Within the next few days the guys had a concert and then we were headed off for Europe.
I yanked the knob and thanked the bell-boy. I pushed the cart over to the seating area by the window before going to finish my makeup. Ash still hadn't waken up through my morning ruckus routine, and I was excited for him to.
I pulled open the curtains and set up the table in a cute little way. I then crawled on sheets over to him. I kissed his forehead and rustled his hair.
"Wakey, wakey, Ashley." I cooed.
He groaned and slowly opened his eyes. Noticing me, he smirked and kissed my hand.
"Morning," he said groggily.
I loved his morning voice because it was so gruff and set apart from when he was wide awake.
"I got you some food," I said combing back some of his hair; he nearly had as much as me.
He peered over to the window and squinted at the mass amount of light.
"You didn't have to do all that."
"I know," I said.
I moved to sit next to him.
"I want you to be as stress free as possible." I claimed.
He laughed, "I don't usually include food as stress."
I pouted my lips, "I just wanted to help."
He sat up and smiled. The sheet of fabric fell of his torso, exposing his sculpted body and tattoos. He pulled some of my hair behind my ear.
"Thank you, baby." He kissed my forehead.
That was the first time he called me by a pet name. I smiled and kissed him on the lips.
"Come on," I grabbed his hand and pulled him overto the table.
He slipped on some pants that were on the floor and came to eat.
The guys were setting up for the concert and I was wandering around, trying to find something to pass the time. I had brought my camera along just in case I wanted to capture a moment.
I headed back for the seating areas and sat in about the fifth row. Andy was checking all his mics and was doing it by singing random songs all mixed together. I scrunched up my face in disapproval but I saw something in the way he was moving. He was just pretending to perform, but he seemed like he treated as if it was real.
I moved a few seats down so I was slightly on his left. I reached for my camera and snapped a few shots with different zooms. I did the same when Jake and Jinxx came on to test their guitars.
They all were crazy serious, and passionate whenever they were onstage; no matter what it was for; it was kind of inspiring.
The guys finally trickled backstage after talking to their openers for five-ever.
Ashley immediately ran over to me and pulled my face to his. I was sitting on the staircase that led up to the lights, so he nearly fell coming down from the upper steps I was on.
"I saw you taking some shots." He said nodding to my camera.
"Oh," I said, "yeah, I like photograpy, but I usually only capture nature and stuff like that."
"Can I see?"
He reached his hand out and asked as if I didn't have a choice.
Reluctantly, I pulled the strap off my neck and placed the camera in his hands. He silently scrolled through my pictures one by one. I fidgeted with my hands while he looked through them; hiding his emotions.
When he was finished I felt like I could breathe again.
"These are incredible, Kat." He said.
"Really?" I asked.
I couldn't believe him.
I mean, I tried taking good photos but I didn't think they were incredible.
He nodded vigorously and spun around. He started walking towards the other guys and my heart skipped several beats.
"Ash, wait!" I jumped up and followed him towards the others.
"Hey! Guys! Check these out!" He said.
"Ash!" I tried again.
He handed the camera to Andy before I could snatch it back.
I jumped for the camera and Andy held it above my head; looking up to scroll through the photos.
"Dammit!" I yelled as I lost my balance after a jump.
I fell to the floor with a thud and my ass immediately stung. Jake reached out and helped me up.
"Gimme my camera, Andy!" I yelled.
"But I'm not done." He laughed.
"Lemme see!" CC called.
He ran over to Andy and Jinxx followed suit.
"Hey!" I yelled.
They all completely ignored me and continued scrolling through every last photo I took today.
"These really are great!" Jake said.
"Extremely!" Jinxx agreed.
"I told you." Ashley bragged.
"Okay," I said, thoroughly annoyed, "can I have it back now?"
Andy grabbed the strap and placed it around my neck once again.
"I'll be back." He said and walked off, further backstage.
I had been pacing backstage for the last twenty minutes. Andy had ran off somewhere and I had a sinking feeling I was going to be involved somehow.
"Asshole..." I breathed.
I was way past pissed. I was happy they all liked the pictures I took but they didnt have to ransack my camera to do so. Jake and Jinxx soon went after Andy to join in the 'fun' and CC went to greet the fans with Ashley.
I heard Ash come around the corner.
"Got you something." He held up an energy drink.
I waved him off. That was the last thing I needed right now; I was jittery enough already.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Andy's been gone for a while and I have a bad feeling." I explained taking the drink anyways.
I held the cold can in my hands; calming me down a little.
"I wouldn't be too worried." He pointed towards the other hall.
Andy came sauntering around it with a few people behind him, whom I didn't recognize at all.
There were two men, who were very different when it came to looks, and a woman. One man wore a black v-neck and had two sleeves of tattoos. The other wore rectangular glasses and a dress shirt. The woman was beautiful and tall. She had long ginger hair and adorned a Black Veil Brides muscle tank.
"Kat, I'd like you to meet Oliver, Wes and Jesa." Andy said, "This is the girl I was telling you about." He explained to the others.
Oliver, the man in glasses, immediately stepped forward and reached for my camera.
"Hey!" I said taking a step back.
"I would like to see your photos in person." He said.
"My photos?!" I looked over at Andy.
He nodded and I had a few choice words for him in my mind.
I unclipped my camera from the strap and slowly handed it to Oliver. He snatched it up and quickly checked out my pictures. Within twenty seconds he handed it back.
"Very nice." He stepped back.
"Your really pretty." Jesa said.
"Umm, thanks." I said.
Her voice was airy and she looked like a machine; looking over my hair, makeup and outfit as if she were rating my person.
"What's going on?" I asked, "Who exactly are you guys? Erm, people?"
"Well, I am a part of the marketing team." Oliver claimed.
"Security." Wes grunted more than said.
"I help with booking tour dates and locations and promo interviews." Jesa said cocking her head like a spaniel.
"Okay..?" I said still thoroughly confused.
"Andrew told us about your talent and the possibility of you becoming the bands own personal photographer. So you can do something productive instead of just tagging along." Oliver explained.
He was very straight forward but a little harsh.
"Photographer?!" I said.
"Yes, someone who,"
"I know what it means." I cut him off, "but me?!"
""That would be awesome!" Ashley cheered.
"So?" Andy asked.
I could barely process it. I met the guy of my dreams, practically, and now I can do what I love and get paid and still be with Ashley. It was pretty much perfect; I couldn't say no.
"Yes! That would be so cool!" I said.
"You start today." Oliver said.
Jesa cheered and ran over and hugged me. Wes cracked a smirk. This was absolutely insane.
