"Excuse me." I said.
A bunch if Travis' friends came out to the back of the farmhouse and I headed back inside.
"Why did I let Sam drag me to this party?" I thought.
I grabbed a beer from one of the coolers and went to search for her.
"Where are you, Sam?" I asked to no one in particular.
"Jake!" I heard from somewhere.
"Jake!" I spun around in circles trying to find the voice.
I soon saw a flash of red hair rushing towards me.
"Oh, there you are." I said.
She jumped up and hugged me.
"Are you having fun?" I asked setting her back down.
"Not without you," she pouted, "where've you been, Jakie?"
She quite often flipped from sassy to childish.
"Just looking for you." I said.
I scanned my eyes around. The first time I heard my name didn't sound like Sam.
"Mind if I have some?" She asked.
"Hmm?" I asked turning back to her.
She was dragging her finger around the lip of the beer bottle.
"Uh, no, you can have it." I said.
"Thanks, Jakie!" She said.
She popped up and kissed me then ran off again.
"So, you have a girlfriend."
I spun around again.
"Uh," I said.
There was Cameron sauntering towards me. He had grown nearly five inches since July, and his hair got even blonder, if that's possible. He was now a couple inches taller than me.
"Hey, Jakie." He mocked.
"It's... a long story," I tried.
"I got time." He said.
He wrapped a few fingers around mine and pulled me to a closed off area of the house.
He led me into what looked like the master bedroom and went over to a window.
He pulled the curtains shut, "Close the door."
I followed his instructions and watched as he clicked on a few lamps and lit inscence.
Cameron went over and sat on the bed.
"Don't be shy, now," he patted the spot next to him and I shook as I walked over.
"So?" He asked, placing a hand on my knee
I could barely think with him sitting there; so close, so much more attractive, so much more...
"Who exactly is little red?" He asked.
"S-She's really great... I just don't," I said.
"Really like her?" He offered.
"Jake, are you still in the closet?" He asked.
"In the closet." Cameron enunciated."Does any one know that you're gay?"
"Well," I said.
He laughed, "I didn't know I was chasing a closet-boy. Jake, you need to come out. Trust me, it feels way better than sitting in there alone."
"It's not that easy," I said," my friends,"
"Won't care." He finished, "That is, if they are your true friends."
"Hey, we don't have to talk about it right now."
It felt so weird; picturing me and all my friends and Cameron all hanging out. No way would they be used to it or okay with it.
Cameron kissed my cheek mid-thought.
"I like you, Jake, and I'm willing to wait, but not forever. Okay?"
"Now, can we have some fun? I missed your face." He said.
He grabbed my face and kissed me. I tried to push all my worrying thoughts out of my head so I could have some fun. Truthfully, I did like Cameron, and I wanted to be with him. My thoughts consisted of how and when.
He stealthily pulled off my shirt and pants while we kissed. Cameron pushed me closer and closer to the headboard, then he pulled away, only for a moment, to get rid of his clothes.
Soon we were entangled in a hot, sweaty, wonderous moment. Cameron was commanding and took control. I could tell he had some experience. He kissed me all over and made me go stiff.
When he finished, we laid against each other, and he walked his fingers up and down my arm.
"I should probably take Sam home." I said reluctantly.
"No!" He whined.
He kissed down my back and came back up to nibble my neck.
"I'm so much more fun." He reasoned.
I moved to sit up and he wrapped a blanket around himself.
I put back on my clothes and was headed out of the room when he said something.
"Hey, Jake, remember," Cameron said.
I turned around.
"I won't wait forever."
I nodded and walked out of the room; shutting the door once again.
I took a breath and headed back into the crowd.
