~~I waited all weekend to see Marshall Lee, so i could kick him in the balls. Finn was perfectly ok with that and , in fact, he said he would hold Marshall while I kicked. I sat in my first period class and waited. A few kids walked up to me and tried to talk but after a while they knew I wasn't in the mood.
When Marshall lee walked in I walked straight up to him and slapped him in the face.
"What the hell!? Fionna!?" he yelled.
"What the fuck was with that text!? One minute you're all excited about your stupid concert and then the next you say you don't want to date me? YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT! DID YOU HONESTLY THINK YOU COULD DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND THEN JUST WALK IN AND PRETEND IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!? You've got some serious problems, Abadeer." I ranted. Then I walked right out of class before he could say anything. I heard Marshall run after me and yell my name but I ignored him.
I walked into class, all ready to give Fionna a kiss and ask her why she missed the gig, and she slapped me. She yelled something about a text but I couldn't find my phone. I'd lost it after the gig, I haven't seen my phone in a few days. When she walked out of the room I followed her and called her name but she just kept walking. I eventually caught up with her in the parking lot.
"Fi, what's going on? What text?" I asked turning her around to face me. I noticed she had tears in her eyes, threatening to fall.
"Fuck you, Marshall lee. You know what you did. You can't just do something like that and not expect me to be pissed. You need to sort out your problems." She said.
"Fionna, I don't know what you're talking about. I didn't send any text!" I tried explaining.
"So is this some kind of sick joke? Get the hell away from me!" She yelled, pushing me away and running down the street. Probably to her house. I followed her on my bike. I guess she heard the motor or something because she suddenly turned and walked into the woods. I jumped off of my bike and followed her on foot.
I ran after her for a long time before I realized that I didn't know where she was anymore. I couldn't hear anything but the sounds of the forest. I stopped and looked around. I didn't know what direction Fionna ran in or what direction I came from. All I could see were trees.
"Fionna! Fionna! Where are you!?" I tried yelling.
I instinctively reached in my back pocket for my phone before I remembered that I didn't have it. Suddenly I heard a twig snap behind me. Goodbye, world. It was nice knowing you.
"Marshall?" Fionna said, walking out from behind a tree. Her face was red and her eyes were glistening with tears. To me, she never looked more beautiful.
"Fi! You are a sight for sore eyes!" I exclaimed, running to wrap my arms around her. She stopped me.
"Listen, I'm still pissed at you but I was so fucking mad that I wasn't watching where I was going. I'm lost." she said, blushing furiously. God, she's cute. "and I left my phone in my book bag, which I left in Finn's car. Let me see yours."
"Fi, I lost my phone three days ago. I was kinda hoping to use yours." I replied.
"No, You texted me two days ago." she said. "The night you broke up with me."
"Fionna, what the hell are you talking about? I never broke up with you. Why would I break up with the girl I love?" Did I just tell her I love her?
"Did you just tell me you love me?"
"I think so."
"Did you mean it?" she asked.
"Yes." I said. "I've never been more sure of anything in my life."
"Then what was that text about?" she said, her eyes on the brink of tears again.
"What text? Fionna, I've been trying to tell you, I never sent you any text. I lost my phone the day before the show."
"Well, somebody used your phone to break up with me." she said.
"I think I might have an idea who." I said. "But first, let's get out of here."
"Okay" she said. "I usually come here when I need to think but I don't think I've been to this part of the woods."
"How can you tell? It all looks the same." I said.
"Not to me. Come on, I think we came from that direction." she said, pointing.
We started walking in that direction. Fionna had the great idea to start marking all of the trees we passed.
"Marshall?" Fionna said after a bit of walking.
"I love you too."
We'd been wandering around the forest for hours when Marshall suggested we take a break. We sat in a clearing I found and talked.
"God, I'm hungry. I'd kill for some spaghetti right now." I said.
"Me too. what time is it?" he asked.
"1:30" I replied, looking at my watch.
"So what are we gonna do? I'm hungry, cold, and I think I have a splinter." he complained.
"Aw poor baby? Do you want me to kiss it?" I teased.
"No." he said with a pout. Suddenly he pulled me extremely close to him. In an instant, I was seated on Marshall's lap and he was kissing me. I kissed him back. At first they were gentle kisses but soon we were greedily making out with eachother. Our make-out session didn't last long though. Finn and Marceline walked into the clearing giggling.
"See, I told you that was them." Marceline said.
"I just didn't think my sweet, innocent sister would make-out with somebody like that." Finn replied.
"We're saved!" Marshall yelled, still holding on too my waist.
"Okay, you love birds. Time to go home." Marcy said.
"Don't you mean school?" I asked.
"Nope. Lucky for you, today was an early release day. To be honest I wouldn't have realized you were missing until after school. You didn't show up for me to drive you home." Finn explained.
"And I don't think you'll get in much trouble for walking out of school because none of the teachers knew you were even there. They marked you absent." Marcy said.
"So, I'm guessing you two made up." Finn said, noticing that I was still on Marshall's lap.
"So did he break your heart, or naw?" Marcy asked.
"No, I didn't. I think my dad stole my phone and texted her, telling her that I wanted to break up." Marshall explained.
"What a douchebag move." Finn commented.
"Yeah, he thought that Fionna was, and I quote, 'distracting me from my studies'"
"Well, wait until he sees his stupid plan didn't work." Marcy said.
"Okay, so let's just go home." I said.
"Yeah, Marcy, lead the way!" Finn announced.
"I don't know where to go. I thought you were marking trees on our way in." she replied.
"No, you said you would do that." Finn stated, obviously starting to get a little panicked.
"Aw shit, are we still not saved?" Marshall asked.
"Apparently." I said.
We walked back the way Finn and Marcy came and tried to keep going straight. Finn's phone was dead and Marceline's service provider sucked, so it looked like we would be stuck out here for a while.
