I placed my cup of tea onto the coffee table and slumped onto the couch. I slipped on a pair of sweat pants and a white tank top from the basket of clean clothes in the kitchen. There was nothing on the TV that I wanted to watch so I went with the morning news. I just got comfy when I heard footsteps above me. Great, Harry is awake. He made his way downstairs and smiled at me as he walked past the living room into the kitchen. I heard the kettle click and bread being put into the toaster. A few minutes later he came into the living room and sat his cup next to mine. He bounced onto the couch and tucked into his toast.
"Want some?" he asked, moving the plate towards me.
"No thanks, I'm good." I politely replied.
There was silence for a couple of minutes before Harry opened his mouth again.
"What we watching?"
"Oh nothing interesting. There's nothing else on so I just left the news on."
Harry reached over my lap and grabbed the remote, turning the channel over. He gave me a quick smile before looking back at the TV. I really need to speak to Zayn but I don't think Harry will let me. I guess now would be the best time to ask him. I opened my mouth and before I could even get my words out he spoke up.
"I'm heading into town today to have lunch with my mum. You can come if you want?" he asked.
I raised my eyebrows in shock. I've met his parents? "Um, I think I'm just gonna stay home and get used to doing this first." I lied. With him gone I can invite Zayn round.
"Doing what?" he laughed, picking up his cup and gulping down the coffee.
"Whatever it is I do." I replied with a small chuckle.
"Suit yourself. I'm meeting her at 11 and I'll be back around 4. Will you be okay on your own?"
"Oh yeah, of course I will. I'll probably just watch some films and call Louis to let him know everything is okay." I lied again.
"Fine by me." he replied, kissing my forehead. He stood up and left the room, leaving me to come up with a plan for today .
By the time Harry left for town I'd already watched Mean Girls and I was ready to call Zayn. Do I even have his number? I bet it's in my phone somewhere. I searched the couch and the coffee table for it until I remembered I left it upstairs. I paced to my bedroom and picked up my phone. I scrolled through the contacts but I couldn't find Zayn anywhere. Mind you, it's not really suitable to keep your ex-boyfriend's phone number and Harry hates Zayn so that's probably a good thing.
"I'll just arrange it another time." I said to myself as I threw my phone on the bed and laid back.
I could really do with a shower, I haven't had one since the hospital. I dragged my body up and made my way to the bathroom. It took a while for the shower to heat up but I finally climbed inside and stood for a few minutes to let the hot water melt my body. It felt so relaxing to just be clean. Half an hour later and I was ready to get out. Not that I wanted to though, the water felt so good. I stepped out and shook my hair before wrapping a towel around my waist. I ran into the bedroom and closed the door to dry and dress.
Once again, I slumped into the couch and switched on the TV to watch The Vow. All time favourite movie, Harry disagrees though, he prefers The Proposal but no one compares to Channing Tatum... not even Harry. I was trying to pay attention to the movie but I kept getting distracted every time Harry text me. He used emojis way too much, I mean, when would you even use an elephant emoji? I managed to get through the whole film and two more films before I got bored. It was only 1:30pm and Harry wasn't back for another two and a half hours so I suppose I could take a walk into town. Maybe I'll stop by that coffee shop Harry and I go to all the time.
