"Ally, you can't give up looking for Cameron," Ava says, grasping my hand firmly and looking me in the eye. "She almost killed you. Are you just going to let that go? You should go after her or something. You need to get revenge." I search for a meaning in her words, but find none. "How am I supposed to get revenge?" I ask. Ava shakes her head and laughs softly. "You never learn, do you?" she replies. Then she fades away, leaving me alone with the broken fragments of my dream. "I never learn..." I whisper, trying to make sense of her riddle. Does she want me to kill Cameron? I could never kill anyone, even someone who I hate as much her. It's just not right. I flop back onto my pillows and sigh. Niall left this morning for Florida, and Zayn is probably with his stupid little girlfriend. I'm not sure I ever want to talk to Emma again, and today is Lacey and Liam's one year anniversary, so they won't want to do anything with me. I pick up my phone and call Louis. It rings and rings until I get the voicemail. "This is Louis, if you got the voicemail that probably means I'm out or I don't like you so leave a message and I might get back to you." I can't help but laugh at his message. The phone beeps, telling me to leave a message, so I start talking. "Hey Lou, it's me...I just wanted to know if you and Harry wanted to do something today? I'm really bored and-" Louis' voice cuts me off. "Hey, Ally," he says brightly. "Hey," I say, my mood instantly improving upon hearing his voice. Louis was one of my closest friends at camp last year, and I feel bad for not hanging out with him for a while. "Harry and I accept your offer, of course," Louis says. "But what did you have in mind?" I stare up at my ceiling. "Um, I'm not exactly sure," I reply. "Harry and I will think of something," Louis promises. "We'll pick you up in three hours." I look at my clock. "Okay, see you then," I say. "Bye," Louis chirps before hanging up. I putter uselessly around my room for a while, bored to death, until my phone rings. It's Louis. "Change of plans," he says. "We're coming to get you now. Is that okay?" I shove my feet into flip-flops. "Yeah," I reply, running my hands through my hair quickly. "Good, cause we're in your driveway," Louis says. "I'll be right there," I say and hang up. I inspect myself in front of the mirror and, satisfied, turn to go. I'm halfway down the stairs when I hear my dad's booming voice saying, "Ah! Ally has two suitors now, does she?" I hurry the rest of the way down and cringe when I see my dad smiling broadly at Harry and Louis. "No, sir, actually me and Louis are, um, together," Harry says, nervously looking at me. I smile encouragingly. "Oh!" my dad says, clapping his hands together loudly. "Well, that's great! How long have you two been together?" Harry blushes and looks down at his shoes, so Louis responds, "Four years." I knew Harry and Louis had been together for a long time, but I didn't know they'd been dating for four years. No wonder they're so close. "Okay, well don't stay out too late," my dad says, turning to me. "Okay, bye dad," I say. When we're in Louis' car I say, "Why did you come in? My dad is so embarrassing." Louis backs out of the driveway carefully before replying. "He saw us and made us come in." I tap Harry's shoulder. "Sorry if he embarrassed you," I say truthfully. Harry shrugs. "It's okay. At least he's not...weird about it." I nod. "Yeah. So where are we going?" Neither of them say anything. I know Harry will tell before Louis, so I target him first. "Harry," I wheedle. "Where are we going?" He shakes his head, lips pressed tightly together, as if the secret might escape if he opens his mouth. "Come on, Harry, you know you want to tell me," I say, poking him. Louis glares at me. "If you tell her, Harold, I will personally see to it that your death is slow and painful." Harry turns away from me. "I can't tell you," he says. I sigh and lean back in my seat, watching the passing scenery. I have no idea where we are, let alone any notion of where we might be going. Five minutes later, we pull into a parking lot in front of a large, nondescript gray building. I see a sign that says LASERTAG and I grin. "Yes!" I say, bouncing up and down in my seat like a little kid. "Excited, are we?" Louis says, getting out of the car. "Very," I say, hopping out and closing the door. Louis takes Harry's hand and we head to the entrance. "I'm the best at lasertag," I say. "I guess we'll see about that," Harry says smugly. "Louis and I are undefeatable." I laugh. "Yeah? Well you haven't played against me." Louis shakes his head. "You're going down," Harry says. I raise my eyebrows. "Game on, Styles."
