Do you want to know more about the ambassadors of Movellas? Then you have the right book. Meet the ambassadors of 2014-2015.

31. Introducing Danielle Paige

Username: Danielle Paige
Name: Danielle Paige, Danielle, or Dani
Age: 17
Country: England

At what age did you start writing?
I'm pretty sure I started in nursery where I wrote one-sentence stories (with the worst spelling ever, I might add).

What inspires you to start writing?
Everything! I carry a writer's notebook around where I jot down interesting song lyrics, pieces of poetry, things I overhear, and cool facts. If I find it interesting, I can guarantee I'll want to use it as soon as possible.

How do you beat writer’s block?
Oh. Ouch. Well, I tend to take a break if it's really bad. I also keep multiple projects on the go so I can switch from one to the other when I run low on ideas.

Do you consider writing to be a serious career choice?
Yes, I do. Although it's not my primary aim, it's definitely something I'd like to do in the future. I know it's pretty difficult to make money from and I have to be realistic, but it's one of my dreams and I intend to fufill it one day.

What advice would you give to a first-time writer?
I'd probably tell them to share their work. I know how easy it is to hide it away from prying eyes, but without others, you don't get any feedback. I think using feedback to make yourself a better writer is the way to go.

What’s your advice for the next ambassadors after you?
Embrace the role. It can be a little daunting and I know, initially, things can be a little confusing. Just continue being an awesome user. If you were picked, it's because you're a user that the Movellas team like representing the site, so don't change too much!

What’s your motivation to be an ambassador?
Actually, I don't like the schooling system in England. I think it discourages children from using their imaginations and embracing creativity unless it suits them. Being on Movellas gives people an opportunity to be creative and I love being able to have an active role in supporting them.

What's the most embarrassing moment of your life so far?
I was skimming stones on the ocean on holiday and I messed up. The stone smacked me in the forehead in front of everyone. To make it worse, I instantly burst into tears.

What's gotten you into writing?
Reading! I love to read, and the urge to produce something for others to read encourages me to write.

What's your favorite genre of books and films?
I like action, fantasy, supernatural, sci-fi, and young adult.

What's your favorite film?
It changes a lot. Currently, it's Divergent.

What got you into reading?
My parents told me to read a lot when I was really young, so I guess I grew up to enjoy it.

What age did you start reading?
I started with the basic four-page long books (with pretty pictures in!) in nursery.

Favourite Band, singer?
My favourite band is All Time Low, although I also like We Are The In Crowd, You Me At Six, Bring Me The Horizon, Paramore, Tonight Alive, and much, much more.

Favourite song?
It changes a lot. Currently, it's Lonely Girl by Tonight Alive.

What music inspires you?
Anything with meaningful lyrics!
Can you give the new movellians or old movellians some advice?
Be friendly!

Do you have some advice for people who want to apply as ambassador?
Make sure you're active and have a genuine interest in helping out.

What's your favourite quote?
"Life's greatest tragedy is not that it will someday end, but that most only live to follow directions and sometimes we end up totally lost." Alex Gaskarth

Advice for bullied, who gives up fighting to be happy?
Honestly, be strong. If you don't let it bother you on the outside, they'll leave you alone and give up.

Best childhood memory?
When I got my first puppy - a springer spaniel called Fudge! It was a great day.
