When we got to the mansion the guys lived in, Niall opened the door for us girls to go in first.
“Welcome to our humble abode,” Liam said. He then announced our arrival, and another girl came up and hugged Liam.
“Who’s the girl?” I asked.
Liam put his arm around the girl. “This is my girlfriend Izzy.”
“Nice to meet you,” I said to Izzy. “I’m Valerie, and the girls with me are my daughter Amber and my friend Sarah.”
“Your daughter is so cute! How old is she?” Izzy asked.
“She’ll be three later this month.”
“Well, it’s getting late, so let’s go to bed,” Liam said.
We all agreed and went to bed.
The next day, Louis and I caught the matinee of “Pitch Perfect”. As expected, we were accosted by fans asking Louis if I was his girlfriend. Of course he said no, this was only our first date.
Surprisingly, we were two of only a few people in the movie room. We laughed at all the funny parts, and there were a lot of those, and I sighed dreamily at the romantic parts.
“You’re a real sucker for romance, aren’t you?” Louis asked me when the movie was over. “I heard you sighing during the kissing scenes.”
I giggled. “Yeah,” I said.
“Let’s make our own kissing scene.” Louis smiled and winked.
My heart almost jumped out of my chest. Louis William Tomlinson wants to kiss me! Before I knew it, he had his lips up against mine, and we were making out in the movie theater lobby. We only stopped when a security guard told us to get a room.
While Sarah and Louis were at the movies, Niall and I took Amber for a stroll in the park. This park had a playground, so I lifted Amber out of her stroller and let her play. Meanwhile, Niall and I sat on a park bench and watched her and the other kids.
“You know, I can’t wait until the baby comes,” Niall said.
“What are you talking about? You don’t know if I’m pregnant yet. Hell, I don’t even know!” I said.
“I’m optimistic. Just looking at those kids interacting with each other makes me love kids even more. It also makes me think of Lux.”
“She’s the baby daughter of our hairdresser. She’ll be one in September. Two days before my birthday, actually.”
“So, she was born on the tenth anniversary of 9/11.”
“Right.” Niall laughed.
We watched as a four-year-old boy slapped Amber in the cheek. She started crying and held her cheek while the boy’s mom rushed over to him. I joined them and picked Amber up.
“Are you alright, sweetie?” I asked her.
“NO!” Amber screamed, still holding her cheek.
“I’m sorry about this,” the boy’s mom said to me. “Cody’s gonna get a spanking, four minutes’ time-out, and no dessert tonight.”
“But Mummy!” Cody pleaded.
“No buts, Cody Thomas Brinkley! You should NEVER hit a girl! We’re going home RIGHT NOW!” Mrs. Brinkley apologized again and dragged her son out of the park.
I kissed Amber’s cheek and said, “See? The little boy’s gone now. You can keep playing.” I put her back down, and she continued to play.
