My head peaked in the open window as I portrayed the perky boy's smile.
“Wendy." I whisper, trying to draw her attention from something she was holding in her hand.
Her head turns sharply and a smile appears on the innocent face of hers.
“Peter, you do know you can come in," she giggled.
I shake my head, “No time, I need to show you Neverland. Something's changing. I need you to see it."
Her smile slowly fades and she whispers, “Peter, come here a second."
I decide not doing it would cause too much suspicion, so I fly in. Making sure I stay in the shadows.
“Peter, I can't see you, come into the fire's light." She sighs.
I slowly step into the light. She backs away from me quickly. She knows. I need to convince her it is Peter Pan.
“See, Wendy, everything is changing. The Lost Boys, Captain Hook, me, Tink, it's everyone."
She stares, uncertain of me.
“Wendy, please," I fake beg. My eyes glance at the clock. The real Peter will be coming soon. It's now or never.
She bites the inside of her lip, thinking. Wendy finally says, with a weak smile, “Take me to Neverland."
I smile and grab her hand. I lead her towards the window and jump out, flying to the first star to the right, not the second. I do this because I am not Peter Pan and we are not going to Neverland. We are going to Fornever Land.
This is the world where everything is the opposite of never. It's always happening. You live, you die. You repeat. There is no safety. No closure.
Luckily, Wendy doesn't notice we took the wrong star. Just as we pass through, I see the tip of a dark green hat, followed by brownish red hair.
She gasps in horror as she sees what is the exact opposite of Neverland.
I smirk slyly as I pull the young girl behind me.
"This, Wendy, is Neverland."
"No, this isn't- It couldn't. This, boy, is not Neverland and you are not Peter Pan."
I tug her along, showing her what this island looks like, the smirk still plastered on my face.
“T- Take me back n- now," she stutters.
I chuckle and say with a smile, “Oh, honey, I'm afraid I can't do that. You are staying here for quite a long time. Oh and you can call me Sir, Master, or anything that says I own you would do."
I pull out a rope as she struggles to free my grip. I tie her arms and legs, along with gagging her so those pirates don't get any ideas.
“You're going to love it here," I whisper, my lips brushing her ear as I spoke. She shivers at the strange gesture.
