Danté's Assassin's Creed Q&A

Ask me any and all questions regarding Assassin's Creed, and I will endeavour to answer them; if I don't know the answer I will do my best to find out.

Midnight Rogue's Question(s) - 3

Before I answer this, may I just thank you for asking so many questions and also for advertising this Movella. Thank you.

This is a tough one for me, as I haven't played Watch_Dogs (yet) and have not watched any walkthroughs. What I do know is there are a number of links to the Assassin's Creed franchise embedded in the game.

For example, you can find the body of Olivier Garneau (you know who he is), and if you "hack" him, it tells you that he was killed by the "Brotherhood", so there are two references there. It also tells you that he works at Abstergo.

Walking around you can also find a number of people identified as Abstergo Employees (or former Abstergo Employees), which further links the two games.

As for actual links of the games, I'm not sure. There are plenty of little Easter Eggs, but when it comes to the Assassins existing alongside Dedsec (or whoever it is in Watch_Dogs - as I said, don't really know much about the game) I'm not entirely sure.

Before the release, UBISOFT said that the game was based in a different "universe" to Assassin's Creed, yet the sheer scale of references in the game brings this into question. There is even a part of the game where you see a kid playing Assassin's Creed Revelations (it's the scene near the beginning, with the dying Byzantine captain at Masyaf), though whether this suggests Abstergo released the game or that Abstergo existing is just coincidence, I don't know.

I hope this answered your question, but I honestly don't know that much in terms of Watch_Dogs.
