I felt my breath hitch in my throat. I nodded, trying my hardest not to scream and fangirl in front of him.
"Oh yeah, the one who said 'no shit Sherlock'? Niall asked me. I nodded again, finding out how awkward that sounded.
Just then, a Fake came along, placing her manicured hand onto Niall's arm, in what she most probably assumed was a flirty gesture, but what actually looked like a really awkward motion.
"Ni-all." She said, drawing his name out. "Aren't you going to come meet me and my friends? We're really big fans of yours and-"
"Yeah, sure, in a bit." He said and waved her off. But she seemed intent on getting him away from my grasp.
"But, Niall, we're your biggest fans and we've come all the way from-"
"Sure, I'm coming, I said so."
"Niall, why don't you come right now?" She purred, making her sound like a strangled cat. I could see him getting irritated, but he wouldn't be angry in front of his "fan".
"Can't you take a hint from him and get lost? Or do you have some serious clinginess issues?" I said, rather more angrily than I had meant to.
The Fake looked at me. "And who are you? Probably some wannabe. Whatever." She said and flounced off.
Niall looked at me with relief. "Thanks for that, it's just that some fans act really clingy."
I laughed. "Really? I couldn't tell."
Suddenly Niall got up with an apologetic look on his face. "Sorry, Tori, I have to go, it's time for the boys' and I meeting. It was nice meeting you though."
"You too." I said and watched him walk away. Outside, I was all cool, calm and collected. But on the inside, I was squirming with butterflies all over. I HAD JUST TALKED TO NIALL FREAKING HORAN AND HE HAD SAID IT WAS NICE MEETING ME AND AGH! Have I died and gone to heaven?
Fifteen minutes later, we were all seated in the gigantic dining hall. There were lots of tables placed all around the hall, big enough to seat ten people. I made my way along to the closest one, along with Aiden. We watched as servers drifted in and out of the kitchen, brining steaming platters to our tables. My mouth was watering just looking at the sight of all the food. When it was served, I noticed most of the girls just took salad and fruit. I wasn't about to do that. I loaded my plate with chicken stew, steaming vegetables, spaghetti, and tons more. Aiden did the same.
For a while, we were both too busy eating to observe the scene around us, but when we were almost done, I started noticing the people and things around us. The first thing I saw was that all the Fakes had grabbed themselves three tables, and sat in a group at their own tables, acting like they owned the place. The second thing I saw was that the One Direction boys had come back from their meeting, and were sitting at their own table. The surprising thing was that no girl was trying to get to sit with them. That might've been because of the fact that a six foot two bodyguard was standing there.
Yeah, it was probably because of that.
After almost everyone was done with their food and were trying to keep their stomach from splitting open by the excess amount of food (minus the Fakes, of course), the permanent-smiling lady came up to the small stage that had been constructed at the front of the hall, and said, in her extra perky voice, "Well, congratulations! This was your first dinner at this show!"
Yeah, we kind of noticed that.
"Now, we are going to have some interviews, in groups of five, and then tomorrow we're going to start the first challenge! So be up and early tomorrow! Wouldn't want to miss the fun!" She hopped off in her pointy shoes.
I thought the challenges would be fun. And they were. I just didn't know the ulterior motives behind them at the time.
