Chapter Twenty Eight
Another day passes by and it was finally the day you couldn't wait for...you were going wedding dress shopping! The people who were going with you were your mom, Gina, Ally, Nash, and Taylor. You got ready and packed your purse full of all the things you needed for the day and headed out the door. Your mom was waiting for you in the car with Gina. Ally, Nash, and Taylor were all going to meet you there. "Hey sweetie!" Your mom greeted you when you hopped in the car. "Hey mom...Hey Gina." I said.
They both smiled and greeted you nicely with small talk. "So...ready to pick out a dress?!" Your mom said finally. "Yes!! I can't wait mom. I've been thinking about this day for a while." I replied. Your mom smiled. "Me too." She replied. "So since this is so special I was thinking we could go all out...how bout a budget of...hmmmm..." mom said pausing. "How does $6,000 sound?" She asked calmly like it was nothing.
You almost screamed your head off! "Oh my god mom thank you soooo much!...but if you don't mind me asking...where did u get that kind of money?" I asked. "Work...I have been working hard lately hun. I want this day to be perfect for you." She replied. You couldn't stop grinning. You eventually made it to the dress store. Ally, Nash, and Taylor were all outside when you got there. "Heyyyy bride!" Nash yelled.
You could already tell this was going to be a fun time...When you got inside a nice lady greeted you and took you in to the changing rooms. You told her what type of dress you want and your budget. She came back about 5 minutes later with about 4 dresses. You undressed and slipped the first dress on. When it was fully zipped up you looked in the mirror. Your eyes grew wide and your jaw practically dropped to the floor.
The dress was simple but elegant with a sweat heart neckline. The woman who was helping you started chuckling. "This is...beautiful!" I said. "It is...especially on a special girl like you." She said. You chuckled a little then looked back in the mirror. "Should we show everyone?" She asked. "yeah..." I said a little nervously. What will they think...
ou picked up the long dress and began making your way out of the changing room. You picked your head up as you walked out and your mom immediately caught your eye. She gasped and then everyone else looked at you up and down with wide eyes. "Well...what do you think?" I asked standing in front of everyone. "Gurllll you look fiiiine." Taylor said. You chuckled a little and blushed. You weren't used to everyone looking at you and thinking you looked amazing. "Honey...I love it. What do you think about it?" Mom asked. "I love it too. It's just what I wanted, simple but still cute." I replied.
She smiled big and all of a sudden a tear rolled down her cheek. It made you smile. "Aww don't cry mom!" I said. "I just can't believe this day is finally here. My girl is all grown up and she's getting married to the love of her life." She said a little chocked up. She was right. Cameron is the love of your life. You smiled back at her. Everyone else began commenting about the dress and it turns out everyone loved it! "I think this is the one." I said. And after that moment...you officially bought a wedding dress. After shopping you were all gonna go out to lunch but it turns out everyone else had plans except for you and Ally. You said your goodbyes to everyone and then you and Ally drove to Paradise Bakery for lunch. You bought your food and sat down at a two person table.
You got a salad and Ally got tomato soup. "I'm so happy for you *yn*. Look at you...you are livin the dream." Ally said taking a sip of her soup. "You know what, I am livin the dream. Nothing could get better right now. Except for one thing..." "What is it?" She asked. "For you to be my maid of honor. You are my best friend Ally and there is no other person I'd want to be my maid of honor. We have had our ups and downs but in the end, we all find our way back to each other. Ever since we were little you have been there. So what do ya think?..." I said. Ally lightly smiled. You couldn't tell if it was a genuine smile or not.
