The 100: Emily Ashwood

"I haven't down anything!" I scream, "let me go!" They're going to float me. I flail my arm out with force, trying to throw a punch. The guard flinches with fear clouding his eyes, "you're going to earth, all of you," he grabs my arm. My heart feels like its plummeting to my feet. We're going to the ground... My name is Emily Ashwood. Number 75.

15. The girl who tries..

"B-but I was with a grounder," I whimper, bewildered, "there was grounder carrying me," I desperately try to make Clarke believe me.

"No it was Bellamy who was carrying you," she tells me, "you were effected by the Jobi nuts," I sigh.

"Okay okay! But I swear there were stars," I say, half joking, "have you seen Amanda?" I ask. Clarke shakes her head. She's applying this stuff to the cut I gave myself when I fell over. Great. In still not positive what happened today. It felt like I was watching myself rather than watching from my own point of view. It was surreal. I get up and walk down through the camp. There has been talk of Unity Day. It's tomorrow and I guess I'm pretty excited for it. I'm not sure why though. I spot Jasper. It's time he got out of the camp. Octavia tried to help him out of the camp yesterday but he got scared because of some idiot pretending to be a grounder. I slide my hand into his and pull him up off of the rock he was sitting on. Dragging him over to the camp walls, I feel him getting hesitant. I smile.

"Come on," I tell him, "you can do it," I try to reassure him. I step out into the open, checking for any idiots around, "Jasper come on," he looks really scared. I sigh and smile, "be brave,"

"Yeah.. I'm brave," he tries to convince himself and show off. He takes a step out.

"Jasper," I laugh, "you're doing it," I put my arms around his neck. He starts laughing, he looks relieved. Then Jasper shouts, "woo!" He throws his arms into the air. I smile.

We soon both head into the camp. He heads over to Monty.

"Bellamy!" I call out. He turns and looks at me.

"Your looking happy," Bellamy begins, in his usual manipulative tone. I sigh.

"Yes," I answer, "where is Amanda?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I don't know," he answers, "probably out trying to look tough," he smirks.

"What do you mean by that?" I follow him around the camp. Is he trying to wind me up? "Bellamy!" I call out. He turns and looks at me.

"Your looking happy," Bellamy begins, in his usual manipulative tone. I sigh.

"Yes," I answer, "where is Amanda?" I ask. He shrugs.

"I don't know," he answers, "probably out trying to look tough," he smirks.

"What do you mean by that?" I follow him around the camp. Is he trying to wind me up?

"She isn't strong," Bellamy sits down outside the dropship, "she has to break down some time. She's been though the same stuff you've been through. I'm sure she cries some time...Like you," he finishes.

"Is that what you think of me? The girl who cries," I blurt. I suddenly feel a strong hatred for myself and Bellamy, "I still feel hurt,"

"So do we all," he says loud enough to silence me. I sit next to him.

"I'm sorry," I say quietly, "I haven't been through anything you haven't,"

"Our mothers were both floated," he says, "that's something we have in common," Bellamy says quietly.

"You're not the girl who cries," he tells me, "you're the girl who tries," Bellamy stands up and walks back to the heart of the camp.

I wander back though the camp. Thanks to Bellamy for putting me right out of my good mood. I head back to Jasper and Monty. Amanda appears beside Monty.

"Where've you been?" I ask, smiling. Before Amanda can answer, raised voices travel through camp. There is yelling. I turn. It's the girl Eilidh. She's shouting at everyone. I squint to see what's happening. She vanishes out of the camp. A few people yell things at her.

"She's going to get herself killed," Monty says. We all nod in agreement.

"So where have you been?" I ask Amanda again. She just shrugs.

"I was out with my bow," she answers. I nod.

"I'm looking forward to Unity Day," I tell the three of them.

"Yeah,"Jasper grins. What's he thinking?

We start sorting the food that Bellamy brought in. It's going to be a good day for us tomorrow. It's something to look forward to I guess. And as for Eilidh... I wouldn't be surprised if the grounders haven't got to her already..
