- The Head-Killer's POV -
I woke up with a raging head ache. What had happened? I took a quick look around and saw the back door was open. Oh fuck no! She didn't escape me! Ugh! She took it too far! I was going to care for her. We would have a good and loving life together. We would take care of our kid together. I quickly grabbed my gun and walked outside. I saw her bare foot tracks going into the woods in the direction off Appleboom. Oh heck no! She wouldn't get away! I ran in the same direction, following her bare foot tracks in hopes of getting to her before she got to Appleboom.
I heard the road, but I still hadn't found her. She probably made it into Appleboom. I placed my cap on my head and put some sunglasses on, so the people of the town wouldn't recognize me. I walked alongside the long road. The only road in town. I was in luck, because I saw her calling with a payphone. I walked towards her in a normal speed and made sure she didn't notice me. As she hung up the phone I grabbed her arm.
"You thought you were going to escape me huh April?"
"No I am going to escape you! Somebody help! The Head-Killer is trying to take me." She yelled as I pulled her with me. Suddenly two trucks stopped. One in front of us and one behind us. To our left was a wall. I only had one chance to pull us out of it. To pull us away from them. They couldn't get her back. I placed the gun against her head and pulled her on the road. The screeching of tires was loud as cars came to a stop.
"James, hands up and slowly slide the gun towards us!" Yelled that damn FBI-agent, that had my girl before I had her. I wasn't going to listen to that bastard.
"I don't think you are in the place to tell me what to do!"
"You won't shoot Autumn. You love her too much." He yelled back.
"Her name is April! And you don't know what I will do!" I yelled back. We were at the side of the woods again. I pulled her in. She almost fell down as her foot got caught in some roots of the trees. I pulled her upright again and pulled her with me.
"James drop the weapon! You are surrounded!" I heard Dean yell. I looked around and saw we were indeed surrounded. I felt my knife in my boot and I knew my gun had 5 bullets. If I was lucky I could take them all out.
"AAH!" April cried out as she bowed over and grabbed her abdomen. Oh no! She wasn't going to lose my baby. I pulled her down to the ground, still pointing my gun to her. I let her head rest on my lap as I caressed her head with my hand. She pulled up and turned into the fetal position. Her hands above her head.
"I'm okay again James, I would like to get up now." She said to me. I pulled her up again. Her back to my chest. The gun pressed against her temple.
"James you have nowhere to go! You won't get out of here without being in handcuffs! Let her go and we can talk!"
"You don't want to help me. If I leave here I will be as good as dead! Nobody will have any mercy for me. I won't have my one true love with me." I said as April slowly turned in my arms.
"Do you really love me?" She asked me.
"Yes my love. I love you so much!"
"If you would really love me you would let me go."
"No I don't want to lose you!"
"Well could you at least let my arms free, they are starting to lose feeling."
"Oh my darling." I said as I just grabbed her waist her arms floating freely. She placed her arms around my neck in a hug. I pulled her close, keeping the gun against her head. Dean was right. I wouldn't pull the trigger.
Suddenly I felt a sharp point against my throat. It dug in a little; they wouldn't have tranquillized me right? That would be the stupidest idea ever. My finger squeezed a little on the trigger of my gun, but I let loose. I couldn't shoot her. I loved her too much. I still had to keep up the image of trying to shoot her.
"I love you April. I won't shoot you." I whispered in her ear.
"Sorry James, I don't love you. You hurt me too much. You broke me down. I won't let you win!" April said as she pulled the knife. Her face was completely blank. I guess she had had enough of me. I could feel my skin part. The muscles give in under the pressure of the knife. The blood started oozing out of me. I saw some of it land on her as she fainted and fell to the ground. I could feel it stream down my body. I sank through my knees. I landed face first in the grass. Then everything became black. I saw a white light come to me.
