Chapter 24

 - Dean's POV -

She had disappeared from right under our eyes. It was not only our duty to find her, but we owed it to her. I owed it to her. I still needed to talk to her about my feelings. Ugh! I'm a man I don't have those talks about feelings, but she needs to know I love her and only her. I walked back into our office space and started to look at our board. Her photo the last one we added to it. We didn't even know if she was still alive. According to our profiler she probably was, because James had this weird obsession with her and thinks he loves her. The profiler says he would probably only torture her, but wouldn't let her die. He would take care of her. Even though I wanted her here with me, it was a small bit of relieve to know he would probably take care of her. It meant I could probably get her back.

My entire team and some more people gathered in the conference room and started the presentation. The first thing they discussed was what we already had found, such as the park where he picks the girls and takes them from and the building he holds them in after he has taken them. From the street cam we had seen that he had taken Autumn to a van and had her placed in it. They drove off together, but we didn't know where they went, we could only follow them for 2 blocks.

We knew he would take her somewhere out of the city. He has the crazy idea she belongs with me. She is mine! Everybody shook when I slammed my wrist down on the table.

"What do we have that brings us any closer to finding her? Do we have any idea where she is?"

"N-N-N-No S-S-Sir." Some guy answered. He looked positively shaken by my outburst. I just needed her to be back with me. Alive and well.

"You three go look on the map and try to find any woods around this damned city! If you have found some, see if there are any empty buildings, cabins or other things in there that people could live in. and make sure nobody owns the property."

"Sir, the police on the phone for you." Said Lacey as she walked in, she didn't have to be at the meeting, because she already knew everything.

"Okay, I'll be there in a minute." I said as I glared one last time at everybody in the room.

"Now get to work you lazy asses!" I sad loudly. They all scrambled out of the room and began to work. I walked to Lacey and took the phone.

"Hello, Dean Rosing speaking."

"Oh good, Sir we found another girl's head."

"What?!" I screamed out in desperation, she couldn't be dead. The profiler assured me she would live.

"It's a blonde girl; she has hazel eyes and no freckles. She has a mole on her nose, she kind off looks like an old witch, you know from the fairytales." He started to describe her, because he thought that was what I meant with what. Thank the lord for not having the description sound like Autumn, it meant she would probably still be alive.

"But sir, the head had a note with it, it's addressed to you."

"Read it to me!" I growled, what would that bastard tell me now.

"Dean, you have to give up now, I have your girl, and she's mine now. You won't ever get her back, don't try to find me or she will live through the consequences. I have my one and only now and I will take good care of her. You should just go and die! I hope you die of sadness because you lost both your loves to me. I am far more superior to you! James, or as you like to call me the-head-killer!"

"Is that what it says?" I asked to be sure.

"Yeah Sir."

"Thank you for calling, have a nice day." I said as I wrote everything he said down. It didn't really give us much of a clue as of where they were, but it gave me some peace of mind. She could be alive. I ordered everybody to keep looking and went home for some well needed rest. I needed to be able to find her.

The next day, the next month, the next two months, time kept crawling forward and we were no closer to finding her. My outbursts became more frequent. I needed her close with me. Only she can keep me calm, only she can make me smile. As another month passed I wanted to give up. I wasn't going to find her.

I grabbed my phone when it rang, hoping it would be some good news.

"Hello Dean Rosing."

"Autumn, Is that you?"

"Yes, Dean please come and get me."

"Where are you?"

"I am at this tiny city, it's called Appleboom. I ran from him Dean. I gave him some herbs that would make him sleep and I ran. My feet are so tired."

"Okay, go to a very public place there, and wait for me to find you. If you see our cars drive by, send someone out there to get us. Tell everyone in the public place about James. They will probably stay with you, and he won't do anything in front of a lot of people."

"O-Okay, thank you." She said with a happy sigh. She hung up the phone.

"Everyone! Listen up! Autumn just called me; she has escaped James and is in Appleboom, we are going to collect her with our trucks. She was fleeing on foot so he couldn't have been far from Appleboom. Try to find him around there! We need to get him off the streets!"

I raced to my jacket, grabbed it from the hook and ran out to the trucks with Lacey Marcus Michael and Connor with me. Michael and Connor took a separate truck. I raced of in the direction of Appleboom. The tires made squeals, because of the speed, but I couldn't help it. I almost had my love back with me.
