Two days later

Ellen’s POV

I had worked a double shift and still had two hours two go, it was almost seven and I finished at nine, I sighed as I finally got a break off my feet behind the desk as I waited for a customer or even for the buzz to hit my leg telling me an order was up, It was a Sunday which meant it was busy, I doodled on a piece of scrap paper until the door opened, I shoved it in my pocket and stood up.

“Hi, Welco-“ I stopped when I spot Harry. “Table for what?” I asked slightly annoyed.

“Two.” He smiled.

“Can’t you wait a second until another waiter can take you?” he shook his head.

“Nope, I want you because I know you’re not gonna poison my food.” He smiled as I took two menus.

“That can be arranged, follow me.” The guy with him snickered and they followed me down the back and outside, I placed the menus down on the table, “This your boyfriend?” I asked Harry and he laughed.

“Really funny, but no, his starting at Frances tomorrow, Louis, this is Ellen, She goes to Frances as well.” He smiled at me.

“Nice to meet you.” His hand was stuck out, I took it and he lightly squeezed before letting go.

“You too.” I murmur, “Drinks, what will it be?”

“Coke for me.” Harry says I nod and look towards Louis.

“What is there.”

“Ah.” I flip to the drinks page on his menus, “Any soft drink you can think of, alcohol but I guess you’re under age if you’re in mine and Harry’s year, juice or water.”

“I’ll just have a creaming soda.” I nod.

“One coke and one creaming soda.” I smile before walking away from the table.

Louis POV

“She wasn’t pleased to see you.” I state as I look over my menu.

“I may or may not annoy her.” I laugh at his response knowing Harry he annoys her for a fact.

“Your creaming soda.” She places a coaster on the table in front of me then the pink fizzy liquid, “And your liquid shit.” She says and places Harry’s drink on the coaster she placed in front of him, I laughed and Harry just looked up at her, a smug smirk on her face as she dug in her apron pocket for a pen as she holds her note pad in her other hand.

“Ready to order?” I nod as does Harry.

“I’ll have the Lamb cutlets.” She scribbles it onto her paper.

“Any sides?” she looks up at me from the note pad.

“Mash potato, please.” She nods and wrights in down then turns to Harry.

“The beef burger minus the spit.” She copy’s down his order, spit?

“You know I never spat in your food.” She said before reaching for the menus.

“Wait I wanted sides.” He rushed.

“Oh did you, you never said.” She rolled her eyes, “What sides would you like?”

“Fries.” She quickly wrote it and was about to walk away, “Wait, can you turn the heater on, it’s quite cool out here.” She sighed and touched her apron which hung down her thighs before looking into the restaurant; she must need to serve people. She places the menus back on the tables before reaching up on her tippy toes and pushing something on the left of the heater, a moment later she pressed the button on the right then cursed when the flame didn’t alight, Harry sat back in his seat watching her shirt rise and reveal two small dimples at the bottom of her back, her skin looks so silky, I look to Harry who is enjoying watching her not be able to turn the heater on, I stand up from my place.

“Need some help?” I ask and she turns to me, getting back to flat feet, I stood a whole head taller than her as she nodded, “What do I do?” she moves slightly and looks up.

“Hold the red button in for ten seconds then press the black button on the other side.” I do as im told holding in the red button, “But don’t let go of the red when you press the black.” I press the black button a moment later and the flam runs across the pit above our heads I let the red and black buttons go and look down at Ellen. “Thanks.” She smiles as she grabs the menus and shuffles into the restaurant.

“Why’d you do that?” Harry asked as I took a drink out of my tall glass, I look over the brim at him before lowering it.

“Because she needed help.” He frowns.

“She would have managed.”

“Hance the reason she hates you.” She remerges around and serves other people there dishes, I guess she was asked the same  thing twice when she reached up to turn the heater on, the male at the table coming to her rescue and being guided to do it for her, “I’ll be back in a minute mate, im going to the bathroom.” I said sliding out of my spot, I head into the restaurant, Ellen and I go head on as we stand in the middle of the aisle, her arms stacked up with plates of food.

“Wouldn’t want to drop those.” I state and she looks at her arms stacked with three plates each.

“No, I wouldn’t.” she agrees, she stands right up against the wall, arms slightly out as I shuffle past her.

“Thanks, Louis.” She blushes before its safe and she pulls her arms closer together and starts heading out to her section to serve, I head to the bathroom, it’s quite clean for a bathroom, three sinks on the vanity, three urinals and two cubical. Once I’ve finished and my hands are washed I head back to the table once again heading into Ellen but this time bumping her and a glass falls to the floor, I grip her upper arms to steady her before she lets out a breathy laugh. “Sorry.” She mumbles shyly.

“That’s alright, Love.” I look down at the ice and glass everywhere on the floor.

“At least it wasn’t full.” She states, and I nod, she looks up at me and I smile before looking around, everyone’s eyes one us, I clear my throat and she gets out of my grip to start clearing the large shards of glass.

“Let me help you.” I say as I kneel down, our hands brush as we go for the same piece, another waitress comes with a brome.

“Sir you don’t need to do that, she will.” She lifts me by my forearm, Ellen Looks up at the girl before shaking her head in annoyance and going back to cleaning up the shattered glass, “I’ll will take you back to your table.” Ellen gets to her feet before holding out her hand, for the glass I assume.

“I’ll take the glass, unless of cause you wanna stab your friend, I will be happy to lend you a knife.” I smile.

“I love you sense of humour.” I say placing the glass gently in her palm.

“Layla, his in my section, I will take him.” Ellen says placing the glass in a bin and takes my arm, and we head beck. “Sorry for crashing into you, I was rushing to get a fussy idiot there drink.” We got back to the table and I took my seat.

“I don’t see my drink anywhere.” Harry says and I laugh, not at Harry but at Ellen, the fussy idiot she was referring to was Harry, she smiles shyly at me before leaving again. Harry asked my why she brang me to the table and I explained it to him then right on cue she arrives with Harry’s drink and our meals.

Later

Ellen’s POV

“No but seriously he was so…”

“So what?” Tegan asks impatiently, I shrug.

“I don’t think he likes me like that, it doesn’t matter.” I murmur, she shakes her head at me before taking a sip out of her hot chocolate, “His British as well.”

“Great I get Harry and you get Louis, we both get British boyfriends.” I laugh.

“You already have a boyfriend and what about Claudia?”

“We can ask if they have another friend, and im sure Jack won’t mind” I smile at her in humour.

“Mum said Tegan has to go.” Josh says as he sticks his head in my room.

“Shut up Soap, im not even here.” Soap and I laugh before Tegan gets up off my bed, “want me to take your mug to the kitchen on my way out?” I nod, handing it to her.

“Thank you. See you in the morning.” I smile and she leaves my room shutting the door.
