Next day

Ellen’s POV

“Oii, bitch, wake up.” I roll on my back but keep my eyes closed as Tegan’s voice runs through my head, “Sleeping not so beauty, come on.”

“Let me sleep, it’s like eight o’clock.” I wine pulling the blanket over my head.

“I don’t know what time you last woke up but it almost four.”

“You’re joking.”

“I am.” She laughed, I frown and try pushing her off my bed.

“Get out of my house. Who let you in?”

“Your mum, no get up!” she smashed a pillow into my head.

“You’re a bitch, piss off.” The next thing I feel is the weight of a person on top of me.

“Get up or I will undress and dress you myself.” I open my eyes to see her looking down at me.

“Your killing me, get off.”

“Then get up.”

“Well im awake now, I have no choice.” She smiles her best innocent smile before rolling off me, “Dressed for what?”

“The beach and I invited Louis.” she almost sang, I blush and quickly get out of the bed. “What was that blush about?” she asked following me to the door but I quickly closed it on her, stepping a few feet across and down the hall and into the bathroom before locking the door. I started to brush my teeth when there was a knock on the door. “What happed after I left?”  I open the door.

“Nothing.” I close it again, the tooth brush never leaving me mouth.

“You seem happy for a morning, something must have happen. Tell me!” she bang on the door. “You kissed, didn’t you.”

“Maybe.” I mumbled over my tooth brush opening and closing the door again.

“How was it?” I spat my tooth pasted out and rinsed my mouth, washing my face before opening the door and walking out. “Ellen.” Tegan coxed as I walked into my room, pushing my glasses up my nose.

“His lips were so soft. Like.” I pause, “Butter. It was,” I shrug, “Nice.” Tegan squeals jumping up and down.

“You finally kissed someone.” I look towards the ground before going into my wardrobe, I grab two bikinis from my many.

“Which one?” I ask looking at each of them, she points to the black and mint one, I throw ther other back in my draw before pointing to the door.

“Get out so I can get changed.” She rolls her eyes and leaves my wardrobe, I slip out of my pajamas and underwear before slipping into the bikini, “You can come back in.” I call and she steps in a short moment later, I flick though my shirts on the rail before slipping one on, then scanning my draw for shorts I finally pick a pair, I head to the bathroom and put my contacts in before going back to my room and putting on a pair of sandals, I grab my beach bag which was already packed from our previous trip and grab my Ray-Bans, I slip my towel into the almost full bag and fish tail braid my hair back roughly.

“Who’s going?” I ask as I tie the end of my hair.

“Claudia, Jack, Raymond, Louis, you and I” she replies, Raymond is Claudia’s boyfriend and Jack is Tegan’s, I’ve kind of been the lonely friend for a while going to the beach, movies, party’s with the happy couples and being the fifth wheel, I could say.

“And Jack is driving us?” she nods her response, “Is he already here?” she nods again, we make our way out into the living room and say bye to my family after telling them where we were heading, Jack was parked out the front of Tegan’s house as we stepped out, Tegan almost ran to greet him, sharing a kiss as they embraced each other in their arms, Jack goes to a different school then us, him and Raymond both, so the girls only see them on weekend and sometimes on afternoons after school, Tegan jumps in the passenger side as I greet Jack and get in the back, he drops into the driver’s seat and starts the car before heading towards the freeway, the whole ride I stay on my phone while the two love birds in the front make convocation, surprisingly the ride is over quickly thanks to light traffic and we are scoping out the crowded beach for Claudia and Raymond, in the end Tegan gives up and calls her just so we find out they were in a place we had already looked.

“So where’s your boyfriend?” Raymond smirks as we all settle onto our towels on the sand.

“His not my boyfriend.” I reply looking over the people in the water.

“Not yet anyway.” Tegan comments, I look towards her, sitting beside Jack and shake my head, not exactly having a comeback, the boys wonder off to find the canteen, the place they forget every time we come here, the girls and I discard of our clothes and lie in the blistering sun. Not even five minutes in I can already feel my skin burning and decide to put sun screen on before I become red, which doesn’t take much for my fair skin, I envy Tegan and Claudia for that, not burning so easily. I sit up in the middle of the two looking over the horizon.

“You guys still alive?” I joke at their lack of movement, Claudia give me a thumbs up while Tegan flips me the bird, I laugh and out stretch my legs in front of me, leaning back on my palms as I rest my head back between my shoulders and let the heat take over my body. I feel a set of lips on my cheek and open my eyes to now be looking at Louis, I smile and put my head up right before turning to him.

“You’re here.” He nods.

“Im here.” He replies as he takes a seat beside me on my towel, Tegan and Claudia greet him and go back to their tanning. “What are you doing?” he asked and I shrugged.

“Waiting for the others to get back from finding the canteen.” He nods.

“Did you want to go down to the water?” I nod.

“Sure.” He stands and takes my hand, pulling me to my feet we make out way towards the water, the sand extremely hot until we finally get to the water, Louis walks ahead of me as I stay at shin height.

“You coming in?” I shake my head, my bottom lip between my teeth, “why not?” he looks amused.

“It’s cold.” I look at my feet, feeling as if im drifting further into the water, the feeling I have grown familiar with over all my life and living in Australia.

“Well you might want to enjoy it because in a couple mouths you’re not going to think about going to the beach.” I smile and take a step towards him, he out stretches his hand and I take it, he tugs me faster into the water and we’re now standing in the water up to our waists, I glide my fingers over the top as waves rock us. Louis pushes the water in my direction making it hit up my stomach, I look up at him, a smirk present on his lips, I do it back to him and it turns into a splashing war, I go under the water attempting to swim away but his warm hands grip my hips and pulls me towards him and out from under the water, he holds me in place, now surfaced, I turn to face him, my hands resting on his chest, both of us laughing.

“Kiss me.” I say softly, he looks shocked for a split second before he starts leaning in, my hands drift up and around his neck as our lips meet, my left hand tugging gently at the hair in the nape of his neck as his arms wrap around my body pulling me closer to him, his warm skin flush against my bare stomach, the feeling completely new, his butter like lips moving against mine before we pull away, my bottom lip being taken between my teeth as my hands slid to his shoulders, I look up at him, both of us studying each other’s eyes before I splash him again and start heading for shore, he chases after me and soon im out of the water and heading back towards our spot, well at least looking for our spot, warm hands grip my waist and I turn my head to see Louis, both of us now walking, I place my hand over his on my side and we look out for the others.

Louis’ POV

“Here you go mother fuckers, hot dogs all around.” Tegan says as her and Jack return with hotdogs, most of the afternoon was spent just sitting around on the beach, most people have cleared out and the day was slowly turning into night, earlier while the girls were in the water the boys were giving me some kind of their own quiz and I felt wired about having to answer to them. Everyone chatted while they eat, the girls mostly, Ellen places the can of coke to her lips and I can’t help but think about how soft they are.

“This has been a really good day.” Tegan says as she leans against her boyfriend, everyone agrees, I look towards Ellen and she’s showing something to Claudia on her phone, both the other girls curled up to the boyfriends while Ellen and I sit apart.

Tegan’s POV

“Ellen, would you like to come for a walk with me?” Louis asked catching Ellen’s and everyone else’s attention, she smiles and nods before they both stand up, they took one another’s hands and started walking towards the water.

“They are so cute.” Claudia states also watching them.

“Im so glad Ellen is actually trying this.” Jack wraps his arms around me, nuzzling his face into the crook of my neck.

“Let them be.” he says playfully biting my shoulder.

“Sorry for being happy for my best friend that I thought was going to be forever alone.”

“And that would have been her choice.” He says kissing my skin. “And im sure you wouldn’t have let it happen anyway.” I smiles.

“You’ve got that right.” When I look back towards Ellen and Louis there walking along the shore, Ellen’s shirts slightly baggy over her swimmers as it blows in the wind, they stop suddenly and im curious, then they kiss, arms wrapped around one another.

“Stop staring you two, they walked away for privacy, give it to them.” Raymond says and Claudia and I look towards one another before laughing.

Louis’ POV

“Will you go out with me?” she looks towards me as we stroll along the shore.

“What do you mean?”

“Will you be my girlfriend?” she stops walking and looks up at me, the moon light illuminating her face, she smiles shyly.

“Of cause.” She wraps her arms around my neck and I wrap mine around her middle as her lips melt against mine.
