"Liz!" I walked into the door.
"Elizabeth," I turned to look at Sherlock. "Look at you, you're all wet. Come on, take your coat off before you get sick." He came and took the coffee out of my hands and handed it to Watson, who took his and handed Abbs to her.
"I live in London Sherlock. I'm use to the rain."
"It's true, she does this all the time Sherlock," commented Abbs. "When ever it rains she just go outside and walk around. Go to the Big Ben, to some museums, get a coffee or go to the book store."
"It's true." I smiled at him. He leaned closer to me and for a moment I thought he was going to kiss me but he just whispered in my ear.
"I want you to tell me."
"Don't worry, you won't miss a thing." I looked in his eyes and smiled again. Taking my cup from his hands, I went to sit down in his chair.
"How could you? You took evidence from the crime scene. you can't just do that."
"You didn't even know it was there. It was in his coat pocket and you wouldn't even know where yo could have found it, okay? I can't believe you. Besides I'm giving it back now, it was barely even touched. Only three people touched it or read it, okay? Now look, here it is," I threw the envelop down on her desk. "Now excuse me, I have other things to do."
"Now hold on a second. What do you mean three people? There's four of you."
"Yes there's four of us. I read it out loud to everyone but you know the guys, they wanted to read it for themselves. So they did. We all know what it says and we are trying to help you guys. You are not going to catch the person who did this without our help." I pointed a finger at her and left the room. Sherlock was waiting outside the elevator for me.
"How did it go?" but he already knew.
"I hate her." we entered the elevator. We both looked at each other and laughed.
After passing a couple floors without saying anything he finally spoke first.
"So are you going to tell me?"
"Tell you what?"
"You know. About who did it. Who killed him, you said you knew." he looked at me.
"I knew you were following me. I think I know, it's different. But yes, I believe that it's a woman and there are only a certain number of women going to the meeting, so all we have to do is get into the meeting and find out which one of them did it and we'll be all set."
Silence came over us once again. Like a low bearing cloud that just skims the tops of the trees. The quiet fall of night over the ice blue sky and the stars coming out one by one.
"So when do you leave?" I looked to my left to see him head down, looking at his shoes.
"Gosh Sherlock, why do you always do this?"Now he looked at me.
"Because why, Sherlock?"
He came closer to me, took my hand in his and looked down into my eyes.
"Because." He leaned closer to me, close to enough to touch my nose. To feel the wanting of this moment in his breath.
The elevator door opened with a ding. We let go and he kept looking at me, now I knew that this is what he wants. He wants me, he wants me to come back.
