After what seemed like not that long, Dylan walked back into my room with a smile on his face. He had a guitar in his hand, along with a bag which I assumed carried his clothes.
He smiled, "I'm here!"
I said, "Dylan I didn't know you played guitar. Can you play me a song?"
He asked, "What song do you wanna hear?"
I thought, "Hmm, can you play Long Way Home by 5 Seconds of Summer?"
Dylan smiled, "I thought you'd never ask."
I asked, "You're a fan?" He smiled, nodding.
He started to play Long Way Home. His voice and the guitar blended together sounding almost heavenly.
Almost half way through the song, I started to cry.
Dylan looked up and asked, "Laura are you okay?" walking over to me and wrapping his arms around me.
I somehow managed, "They saved me. One night I wanted to kill myself. I was going to take my belt and hang myself after I cut my arms till they were white. Before I was gonna do that, I listened to a 5 Seconds of Summer song. I actually played my 5 Seconds of Summer playlist with all their songs. I was starting to cut but then I heard Beside You. I never really listened to the lyrics. This time I did. I felt like they were singing to me. Like they knew what I was doing. To me it sounded like they wanted me to stay. Like they were sad I was gonna kill myself."
He kissed my head and said, "Laura, I an here for you. I never want you to feel like you are worthless. I care about you. You're family cares about you. We would never want you to take your own life. I love you."
I looked up and was going to say something when our lips met. One kiss lead to two, then to three, and so on. It was as if the outside world had gone away.
Finally, when I pulled away, I said, "Dylan, thank you. We should go get some dinner. I think my mom got pizza." We got up and walked down stairs.
I asked my mom, "Did you get pizza?"
She said, "I made pizza. What is Dylan still doing here?"
I said, "Oh, he is sleeping over. Sorry I forgot to tell you."
My mom said, "Whatever. Just don't do anything." My face turning bright red as we walked over to the counter to eat. Dylan and I exchanged glances the whole time we ate. I mostly smiled at him with him smiling back.
When Dylan and I went back upstairs we went on YouTube and he played his guitar more and sang more. After a few hours of that, we both lay in my bed.
I said, "I love you Dylan." I leaned up and pecked him on the lips before dozing off on his chest.
