*harp music plays*
I get up from bed. It's 6:20; eh. I'll wake up at 6:30.
*Harp music plays again*
I turn my alarm off and go to the bathroom. Then I go to my closet to pick my outfit for the day. Today we have activities at school, so we get to "dress down"−I don't care though. I wore a long sleeve purple flannel shirt and some black skinny jeans with my black boots. I put my hair into a neat bun, I filled in my eyebrows, and put on my fave lip gloss. After breakfast, I grabbed my things and went to the bus stop.
Everything seemed normal at first, but I was suspicious. There was a mysterious man in a fedora and trench coat, staring at me. I stared back, to see when I should begin to run if he approaches me. “Valentina, it's me.”
The strange man said while removing his fedora. “Johnny?” I was relieved. “Thank god. I thought you were a flasher or some kind of dealer."
"Really?" He chuckled.
"Yeah. How are you?"
"Good." He proceeded to whisper. "I have some intel for you." He took out a manila folder from his trench coat. "This is classified, got it? Read it when you're alone. Understand?"
I rolled my eyes. "Okay Johnny, I got it."
"Good. Trust no one." As soon as the bus arrived, he disappeared into the shadows. How in the world does he do that? I got onto the bus and stared out the window. I wonder what's in the folder Johnny gave me...
School was pretty bland. It's the same every single day- loud and lonely. I was so anxious about reading the sealed manila folder in my backpack on the bus, that I decided to sneak a peek. As soon as I got on the bus, I went to the back and sat down in the last seat. Thankfully no one else sits next to me. When I took out the folder, it hit me. I think Johnny meant to read this at home. I slid the folder back into my back pack as if it was nothing.
