Today was fantastic! Louis and I went to the little music store at the mall and after that to the park. We found out that we both like The Fray. As I came home from my amazing afternoon with Louis, the house was quiet. Weird, normally Blue would be watching a soccer game or just sit on the couch playing on her phone or anything. It never happened before that when I came home that Blue wouldn't be in the living room. She is probably still at the stadium and will ride home with dad I thought. But when I came into mine and Blue's room, she was lying on her bed facing the ceiling.
"Blue, what's wrong?" I ask, and it obviously scared her since she jumped up. I could see her body relax and she lied back down when she saw it was just me.
"Nothing, just thinking about something." She says, and I could be imagining but I heard pain in her voice. I lay next to her on her tiny bed and face the ceiling, just like my sister was doing.
"You wanna talk about it?" I ask, of course there was a chance it would be about Louis. But I was still her sister, I would help her with anything, even if it would ruin the S.K.G. But something told me this wasn't about Louis, this was something big. Like a secret.
"No, not really." Blue says emotionlessly and I sigh.
"Is it about Louis, that I lied about my ankle? I'm so-" But she wouldn't let me finish.
"It's not about Louis. I just don't want to talk about it right now, okay Violet?" Blue says, a bit angry. I sigh and nod.
"If there's something, you can always talk to me." I say and smile to her, slowly getting off her bed.
"I'm taking a shower." I say and walk out of our room, before I could close the door I heard Blue sigh and say,
"If I could only tell you."
After I came out of the shower, I could still only think about that one sentence. 'If I could only tell you.' My sister kept something from me, and I know it was something big and that someone told her to not tell me. Otherwise Blue would've told me seconds after she heard it. She would not keep something from me if it wasn't a big secret, but I would find out eventually. Blue isn't good in keeping secrets from me, you can trust her with anything and she wouldn't tell it to another soul. But that's the thing, me and Blue are practically one soul, even if we are completely different; we are one. I put my wet hair in a braid after brushing it and put on some pajamas. I brush my teeth and decided that I would just wait until Blue tells me. I walk into our room and see that Blue was gone, probably already downstairs for dinner. I walked downstairs and saw my parents and my twin sister waiting for me at the kitchen table. I sat on my usual seat and looked at Blue, who looked like she was anywhere but here. Mom gave us all a plate with food and I looked at dad who mouths 'I cooked.' I sigh in relief and started eating the food my dad cooked. I look over at Blue and saw that she was playing with her food, pushing her potatoes away and back with her fork. I look back at my parents and they were also looking at my sister.
"Blue, sweetie are you alright?" My mom asks with worry in her voice and Blue looks slowly up from her plate.
"Yeah, everything is fine. I'm just not hungry. Can I go to my room?" Blue says and my mom nods. Slowly she pushes her chair behind and stands up. She grabs her plate and places it on the counter, not making eye contact with anyone but the floor. She walks out of the kitchen and I could hear her footsteps slowly fade as she was walking on the stairs. I look at my parents who were looking at each other, and slowly started eating again, but I couldn't anymore. Something is wrong with my sister, and I am going to find out what it is. I walked away from the kitchen and did something I never did while we had the S.K.G, I walked over to Louis' house and knocked on the door. Lottie opened and I smile at her.
"Hey Lottie, I'm sorry to disturb you all with dinner. Could you please get Louis for me, it's important." I say and smile, Lottie smiles back and nods. She runs away and seconds later Louis comes walking to the door with a questioning look on his face, but that look was replaced with a smirk when he saw me.
"Hey Violet, nice pajamas." Louis chuckles, I look down and see I am wearing my old pajamas which I had drawn on with Blue some weeks back. It was a violet and Blue got a blue one. I blush and keep looking at the ground.
"Thanks." Still not looking up.
"What's wrong Violet?" Louis asks and I sigh.
"If I could only tell you that, but that's the thing, I don't know what is wrong. Blue is pretty upset lately and I don't know why. Normally she would tell me everything, but now is seems like she wants to tell me, but someone important to her life told her not to." I keep rambling about what's wrong and Louis places his hand on my shoulder, making me look at him and blush.
"I'll talk to her, okay?" He asks and I nod. I feel his strong arms wrapping around me.
"Everything is going to be okay, don't worry." Louis says with a comforting voice, I sigh and place my head in the crook of his neck, hugging him back.
"I care about you Violet, just like I care about Blue. I'll make sure she's okay." He says and places a soft kiss on the top of my head, I sigh again knowing that this doesn't count as the kiss we mean in the Sister Kissing Games.
And Louis was probably right, he would talk to my sister and everything would be fine. But something told me that if I knew the secret it would change my life forever.
