Fuck You Over

*Said I was a douche bag won't call back, worst hangover you ever had. Felt so good at first but you knew it would never last.*
I stared at the girl in the front seat. Was that really my only competition? I had to be up against something better than that, something more classy and less trashy perhaps?
"This is Violet, she goes to the high school down the road from ours." Ashton said smirking at me. I smiled and shook her hand.
"Hey, I'm Hunter. It's a pleasure to meet you." I said sitting back in my seat. Ashton stared at me questioningly before turning the car on.
"We're gonna make one more stop at my friend Luke's house real quick." He said to Violet. She nodded. Oh no, he knew he was on to me. I sighed heavily and did breathing exercises. I forgot about Luke's part in my plan. Pretend I wasn't madly in love with him… seems easy enough.

5- Hell and Herbert

The next morning I woke up to find little K better known as Kendall Fern or to all his lady friends in kindergarten Ken-doll, laying on the side on the opposite side of the bed snuggled closely to me and tugging on the blanket. I moved back giving him more blanket and then getting out of the bed. I had texted Ally telling her I couldn't hang out until Monday. Cassie had texted me also saying she got my number from Calum wanted Sophia and Lola to have a play date. I texted her saying she could around noon and that I had a kid with me. I didn't know how long Stephanie expected me to watch her son. A part of me thought she wasn't coming back. Kendall had been there when I got home at five in the morning from my movie date which was really just Ally trying to talk about Ashton. Awesome.

"He kissed you?!" She asked.

"On the cheek and before he went off to fuck some girl." I said brushing it off.

"We're you guys alone?" He asked.

"His brother, the girl and a few random people." I shrugged.

"Wow!" She said leaning back on the wall. I wish she could put her revenge jacket in a closet momentarily. The only reason I didn't want to hang with her anymore was because she was still hung up on Ashton, so any and every conversation had Ashton's name in it.

I made waffles, eggs and bacon for K. He rarely came by anymore so when he did I treated him like he was king. K was a little boy who treated everybody the same. Except my dad and I. Even his mom he treated as though she were just like everyone else. Sometimes he pretended she didn't exist. Stephanie doesn't deserve anything she has. And she has everything. She even had my dad at one point. I talked him out of that tragedy. I put the food on a plate and I took it upstairs.

"K!" I said kicking him in the bed. He sat up smiling happily at me. I handed him his plate of food and sat on the floor.

"Thanks." He muttered smiling.

"No problem. It's gonna be a pretty packed day. Lola has a play date and I'm tutoring Michael for his math test tomorrow and my boyfriend is coming over and my dad's at work all day." I told him.

"Since when do you have a boyfriend?" He asks picking at his bacon.

"Since like a few days ago. Ashton Irwin." I said.

"That's Harry Irwin's older brother. Yeah his class reads to mine for buddy reading." He says.

"Cool." I nodded.

"Lola has a play date with who?"

"Sophia the golden retriever." I said

"Oh wow."

"Did your mom say when you were going home? I mean it's no big deal like I can drop you at school in the morning and all just wondering." I said

"Stephán doesn't like kids in the bachelor pad." K said rolling his eyes.

"Your mothers dating a new guy?"

"A new 24 year old guy."

"That's nice." I said sarcastically.

"I hate him. He barely lets my mom see me. I've been staying with my aunt for the last month." I sighed.

"Well you know Gale doesn't care how long you kick it here." I said rubbing his arm. The clock read 11:30 which meant I had thirty minutes to prep everything for the play date.

"Is your boyfriend nice?"

"Uh, sure." I said nodding.

"Why isn't Luke your boyfriend?"

"Luke doesn't want to be my boyfriend."

"That's not what Gale says. Gale says that Luke really wants to be your boyfriend and you want to be his girlfriend. So you guys can smooch it up." He said making kissy faces.

"Well Gale and I will be having a very serious talk soon." I said standing up. Everyone knew about my business before me. Great.

When Cassie came over the dogs played in the backyard and K went swimming while Cassie and I talked.

"He's a cute kid."

"Yeah, I love him like my brother. We both have major mommy issues." I said watching Kendall jump in the water.

"Yeah, same here. But Calum makes it worth it. I feel like everything Calum does is for me and I just love him for that. Love him for him." She said smiling.

"I want that." I mused to myself.

"You can. Just wait until it gets serious with Ashton and then just mark where you stand ya know?" She asks smiling.

"Yeah, I get it." I nodded.

"What time is Michael coming?" She asks.

"Five o'clock." I said.

"And Ashton?"

"Whenever he wants I guess. He said maybe." I shrugged.

"Well I hope he comes over. You guys are like a second grade couple. Walk around school holding hands and hugging when your bus stops are different." She giggles. I roll my eyes.

"Well I'm really just worried that he thinks I'm joking." I say.

"Oh c'mon. Ask him for a ride to school tomorrow." She advises. I nod and look at the clock.

"Sorry to cut this short but Michael will be here soon so I need to start getting ready. But yeah, I'll see you at school I guess." I said smiling. Cassie smiled at me and then turned to the dogs.

"Sophia!" She shouted. The big dog hopped up and ran to its owner.

"Bye Cassie." Kendall smiled waving.

"Bye, Kendall. I hope we get to see each other's again." She says smiling. Cassie hugs me and walks out the back door. I look at Kendall and nod towards the door. He hopped out of the pool and grabs his towel

"Michael will be here soon so go up and get ready for dinner." I said heading over to the shivering boy.

"Is your boyfriend coming?" Kendall asked for the fiftieth time since I'd told him I had a boyfriend.

"I don't know. Maybe if you wash up and brush your teeth and go in your room and make up your bed. Then he'll come and stay for The Simpson." I lied. Kendall actually had a room in the house. Right across from mine and it was his favorite superheroes on the walls with posters of cars and stuff. Really boyish.

"Ok!" He smiled running in the house. Lola rolled over on my foot and licked my leg.

"C'mon girl. Time to start tutoring the devil." I said walking in to the house. I started making dinner which was just elephant shaped chicken nuggets and French fries. I fed Kendall and sat down with Michael to go over his test.

"I don't understand." I said.

"Hey, that's my line." He smirked.

"I don't understand why you refuse to apply yourself to the classroom setting. Why won't you just take the test the right way?" I asked

"Why does it even fucking matter? I graduate then what? It doesn't fucking matter!" He fumed. I sat there for a second.

"You're right." I said shaking my head.

"I am?"

"Absolutely. Who gives a damn if we graduate if we have good paying jobs and get married and have families? If we end up on the streets? Who gave a damn when my mom left me and my dad? Who gives a damn that there's a little boy in there who isn't seeing his mother because she's in love with a 24 year old douche bag who dropped out of high school. He dropped out because he thought that the girl who spent 15 hours a week teaching him math didn't give a fuck. So did the man my mother ran off with. So you're right. Who gives a fuck about us?" I asked.

His eyes hardened and softened. He looked over at Kendall who was wrapped in a blanket watching tv. He then glanced at me.

"I'll get an A on the next test." He said. I nodded and opened to the next page.

"Now, if we multiply X by the-" I was cut off by the doorbell. Kendall hopped up and ran to the door.

"I got it!" He shouted. I closed my book and went over to see who it was at seven at night.

"Nice to meet you Kendall, uh is Hunter here?" I heard a voice ask. I turned the corner and Ashton was leaning against the doorframe in ripped skinny jeans and a band teeshirt.

"Hey," I smiled. He looked up at me and smiled. I couldn't help but blush as he took my hand in his. I convinced myself that male attention was the reason.

"Can I come in?"

"Please." I said stepping back. He walked in and saw Michael in the kitchen.

"I can come back." He said.

"We are almost done. You can wait with Kendall in the living room. I just gotta order some pizza and take out the devil." I said motioning to Michael. He nodded and followed Kendall to the living room.

"I'm guessing I'm getting kicked out." Michael said smirking

"Ashton's here." I said trying to sound giddy. Failing.

"You seem overjoyed." Michael said calling me out.

"It's embarrassing how much." I said.

"Crash and burn baby. Crash and burn." He muttered grabbing his books. He walked out the door nodding at Ashton. I grabbed the phone and held it. I could call Ally and tell her that I was officially in the bag. Or I could call Cassie for advice on handling boys. I felt a tug on my pants.

"I'm a little bit tired. Plus I've got school tomorrow. I'm gonna go to sleep." I heard Kendall say.

No!!! I can't be alone with Ashton!

"Ok. Sweet dreams." I smiled kissing his forehead.

"You too." He mumbled walking up the stairs. I walked into the living room. Ashton was playing on his phone probably texting some slut or side chick he had.

"Hey." I said grabbing his attention.

"Hey." He said not looking up from his phone. I sat as far away from him in the couch as possible. I pulled my legs in vid rested my chin on my knees. I was going about this all wrong. If this were Luke he'd tease me about sitting so far from him.

"I was wondering if you could take me to school tomorrow." I said playing with the small hairs on my knee. Where the fuck does knee cap hair come from?

"Uh, sure." He says texting some more.

"Thanks." I muttered to myself. I sighed and surfed through the channels. I put it on some movie that looked absolutely ridiculous. I stared at it awhile and then I really got into it. Love, betrayal and scandal were my favorite things. I started to get chilly and since it was my house and Ashton was leaning on the blanket I crawled over to him and wrapped it around myself.

The movie progressed and I got sleepier as I realized that Hebert would never love Gretchen the way he loved Sally and that it was a big waste of fucking time to make this stupid ass movie that only I would watch. I hadn't realized that I was laying on Ashton until I heard a light hum leave his mouth. His arm was wrapped around my waist and his chin was resting on my head.

"Ashton?" I asked. No reply.

I leaned it his arms realizing that this was actually very comfortable. He was like a humongous pillow that only I could even imagine sleeping on. My eyes started to slowly close.

"Hunter?" I heard a voice asked. I looked up and I saw a confused expression on my fathers face. I sat up hitting Ashton in his face.

"Fuck!" He shouting rubbing his chin.

"What's going on!?" I heard someone scream. Oh no.

"Stephanie he's upstairs." My father said.

"I want to know why your daughter is fornicating while my son is upstairs!" She demanded

"We weren't fornicating. We were forn a nothing." I said.

"I just fell asleep during a movie." Ashton said raising his hands.

"Hunter who is this?" My father asked.

"That's Hunter's boyfriend." I heard a small voice say. How was this going south so quickly?

"Who thought you'd ever get a boyfriend?" Stephanie cackled. I rolled my eyes and leaned into the couch. Ashton's arm was still there and I was too angry to move it.

"I should probably go. I'll catch you tomorrow." Ashton said as he stood up.

"Nice to meet you both and I'll see ya later Kenny." Ashton said ruffling the little boys hair. I covered my eyes with my hands and groaned.

"Nice to meet you too." Stephanie hummed. The door closed and everyone's attention turned to me. What the fuck Herbert?

"I loathe you." I said as I sat at the dinner table staring at Stephanie. She had done it again. Tricked my father into believing she was a fucking saint instead of a slut.

"You don't know me." She smirked cocking her eyebrow.

"I know that you're possibly the worst person for Kendall, my dad and I." I smiled.

"Kendall's my son. He has no relation to you. None." She said

"I'm more of a family member than you've ever been to him. Leaving him for a month to go play Forever 21 with your fresh out of college boyfriend. Then dropping him at your ex boyfriends house so you can kick it at a bachelor pad? Is 24 even old enough to be considered a bachelor?" I asked rudely

"You don't understand. You couldn't. I've made sacrifices for Kendall your mother wouldn't even consider for you. I've been his rock since he was born and now some wannabe Susan B Anthony wants to speak up for all the children. Boo fucking hoo. You lose. I win." She says. I roll my eyes. How can one person disgusts me so much.

"I hate you." I said squinting my eyes at her. She rolled her big blue eyes and leaned back. Her manicured nails clicked on the table as she tapped them on the granite marble. Her bleached blonde hair was flowing down one side glamorously. In a different life if I didn't know her and she wasn't a total bitch I could like her. She could be my role model and I could hang up pictures of her superstar beauty on my wall. But all I see is a vile devil who is selfish and undeserving of her greatest possessions.

"You'd better get some sleep. Wouldn't want you to get uglier." She sneered at me.

"How can one person be so vile and self loathing that they take out any and all anger on a teenage girl that isn't even a threat to her?" I asked standing up from my seat. She fake yawned and smiled at me.

"Hunter don't try." She laughed as I walked up the stairs to my bedroom. I've never hated anyone more in my entire life.
