Nathan wakes up and gets out of the nest of leaves he built. He packs up the stuff he needs for his adventure of the day.
"Hope I might find a survivor today." He mutters to himself as he gets up. He hears leaves crackling as he starts on his journey. He follows the sound and finds a girl about his age. As he walks in the shrubbery, she calls out.
"Who's there?" He watches as she grabs her knife. "Show yourself!" She yells. He ignores her yellong for a little bit longer until he gets the confidence to show himself.
"He-Hello?" Nathan says quietly. "Who are you? I'm Nathan. Don't worry, I won't hurt you." And I hope you won't hurt me. Nathan thinks. Should I trust this girl? He steps out from behind the tree anyway. She interupts his thought.
"I'm Mika. How can I trust you?" Nathan throws his bag at her feet, hoping she won't take it and run away. He flips put his pockets and puts them back. Mika completely ignores his bag. "So... I'm not the only one out here? I thought everyone died. My whole family and everyone I knew did. So, how are you alive?"
"Same question for you." Nathan points to his bag. "May I have that back?"
"Sure." Mika throws his bag to him. He puts puts his bag on. "Well, are you heading the way I am? I don't want any people trailing along, so don't think your staying with me." She starts to walk away when he decides to grab her shoulder.
"Its not safe out there. For anyone. I think we would have a better chance of survival together. I'll understand if you still don't want to." They look at eachother for a for a few seconds.
"Nah... I feel safer alone. You never know when someone might turn against you." She walks off, and he just stares at her.
