4. You Learn Everday

~Rose~

I marched purposefully into my parents' office with a scowl on my face. "FATHER!!" I screamed.

"Oh, look, it's our loving and endearing daughter, Peps! I wonder what she wants!" Dad smirked.

I growled and launched myself at him, tackling him to the ground with a roar.

"What did you do now, Tony?" Mom sighed.

"What? What could I have possibly done?" Daddy asked innocently.

"OHHHH! I'll tell you what he's done now, MOM!"

"Please do so then, dear."

"Logan came in for an interview for a position as my personal assistant and I thought that maybe, just maybe I'd finally get to be with the man of my dreams when this enormous butt head sauntered in and demanded to know how Steve was and to see if my fiancé Steve was back in town yet and he BLEW THE ONLY CHANCE I HAD OF GETTING LOGAN BACK! You know that I've been waiting for years for this!" I hit dad with every word, getting my point across to him.

"I thought that you were over him! You're engaged to Steve now!" he whined with a pout.

Mom was seething, she had fisted her hands and was shaking in anger. "Anthony. Edward. Stark!!" she roared.

I got up from his back and left him at the mercy of my mother's hands.

"Tell me that you did not do that!" Mom demanded.

"Ummm... You want me to lie?" Daddy asked.

I snickered, looking at Mom's face.

"Have fun you two! And, Mom, give him Hell!" I called over my shoulder, waving to Mom as I left their office.

I sat down in my desk chair and thought over what had happened just mere minutes ago. I then remembered that Logan had given me his number on the application! Just as I was reaching for that and my cell phone, the intercom on my office phone buzzed and the secretary announced my next visitor, a last minute applicant for the position.

I sighed, pressed the button and told Sherry to send them back with their paperwork.

I was pleasantly surprised when a fairly nice-looking woman with pretty and long blonde hair walked gently and quietly into my office holding a clipboard and a gaudy purse.

"Hello, Miss Stark? My name is Penelope Jackson, and I'm here to fill the position of the Personal Assistant." she said, reaching to shake my hand. She was confident, but not egotistical and that was a good sign.

"I'm Rosalie Stark." I managed to get out before, for the second time today during an interview, the door connecting my office to my parents' was busted open with a loud bang and my father came running in here, screaming with my mother chasing after him, ignoring me and my guest.

"I'm sorry about this, hold on one second please." I said with a tight smile.

My father ran at me and pushed me in front of him to act as a human shield before him against my mother. I was getting fairly annoyed, and my Extermis was burning and itching to be released. "MOVE!" Mom yelled, ripping me from my father's clutches and pouncing at him.

"THAT IS IT! DO YOU BOTH NOT SEE THAT I AM HOLDING ANOTHER INTERVIEW?! DADDY, OUT! MOM, OUT! NOW!!" I yelled forcefully.

They both stopped and looked at me, looked at each other and ran from my office screaming apologies as they went.

"I'm so very sorry. I'm getting rather sick of this. That is the second time today that something like that has happened during a job interview."

"Is it always going to be like that here?" Penelope asked.

I gulped, hoping that it hadn't driven her away, I quite liked her and answered truthfully, "In all honesty, yes, it probably will. My father is still a child himself and is rather annoying."

She smiled brightly and said, "That's great!"

I smiled at her and said, "Do you want the job? Its yours if you want it!"

She blinked at me, astonished and then said, "ABSOLUTELY!"

And from then on, I forgot to call Logan back.
